I had the exact same thing happen to a BG 250 15"inch combo a few years back. It was one of the first one`s and they had a bit of a rep for it. I didn`t even bother to get it sorted and one of my mates used it as a cab.

Going back the way you came: a GAS Aesop’s Fable
jezzaboy replied to AndyTravis's topic in General Discussion
Guilty as charge me Lord! First gig, 2005 ish, was with a Ashdown MAG 300 combo with 15" speaker, P bass of some description. Next gig hopefully this year, Ashdown RM 500, 15" ABM Neo with Nate Mendel P. There has been loads of different gear in between and too much money spent but I`m basically back where I started... -

Recent purchases are a RM 500 EVO 2 to go with my old ABM Mini 2x10 retro fitted with 2 x 8 ohms speakers. But this morning I have bought one of those 15" ABM Neo`s from M P for £229 so I will be refitting the original speakers to the Mini to use both cabs together when req. And as I play with 2 Marshall valve numpty`s, it will be req! All I need now is some gigs

In as new condition, only used a couple of times due to you know what, comes with the correct RCF padded cover which is £50 on it`s own. A real power house of a speaker, can be used for a FRFR guitar or bass speaker or as a normal pa or monitor. Plenty of power and a fancy bit of kit to deal with the sound as below "RCF speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced FiR filtering technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity and perfect stereo images to the listener. The special FiRPHASE filters allow to achieve coherent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies to the system." Collection from Paisley or local meet up preferred but I could look into postage if req. Just to prove how these threads can turn your head, today I bought a RM 500 from Musik Produktiv for the rather decent price of £254. Should pair up ok with my ABM Mini 2 x 10 running at 4 ohms. Always fancied one of those heads, just need some gigs now!

At small pub gigs, I`m surprised that the MAG and 1 cab isn`t enough. I used an old MAG 300 and a ABM mini 2 x 10 in these type of gigs and often had to turn down. Not doubting you by the way, everyone`s needs are different. I would go for the extra cab.

I might try them for my next bit of "German shopping" as Thomann are terrible on their deliveries now, for me anyway. Those Ashdown prices are very tempting.

I tried to sell a G&L bass through The Bass Galley. They had it about 3 weeks and I had to chase them up to actually post the bass on their site and when they did the photo`s were crap and the info about the bass non existent. Got it back then.. Got Mark to sell it, good photo`s and description. Result, it sold in a couple of weeks. It was a 20% fee instead of 15% but it went. I will say his communication could be better once the bass sells as others have stated. And I did have a bad experience regarding a bass I bought from him a couple of years back re the condition but what the heck. The reason I sold the bass through BD and paid the commission is I don`t do Facebook much and selling a G&L on here for a decent price can be rather difficult. And I have very little patience when selling much to my wallets detriment!
