1. Do you mean a Hercules Grabbit? The one that grabs the bass when you put it into it? Jez
2. Definatley a bass guitar problem, which I can resolve by giving you £50 for your Rickenbacker! That`s my biggest downfall, always thinking of other people. Jez
3. Cheers for all the input guys. I have picked up a bass pod as part of a deal and am gonna use the chorus on this if I need it. Jez
4. Souns like a scam. A couple of months ago I was selling a bass on gumtree and got an e mail from someone saying that they were in Canada working but wanted to buy the bass for someone in Scotland. They wanted me to send em a paypal bill of some kind. Told em to fluck off. I reported them to Gumtree and they agreed. Scamming ba**ards!! Jez
5.
even tough it is heavier than the t-bird, i find it hangs much better and stops the old shoulder from playing up!
Aye, tell me about it! (Just bought a T Bird pro and not lovin it). Jez
6.
Brilliant Clarky...two vintage Fenders now Whats next on the list?
A week in the doghouse when the missus finds out that he`s punted the JJ! Really nice Clarky. I`m glad that you seem to have found your holy grail. I am still looking for mine! Jez
7. Had another play of this yesterday as I thought I was being a bit hasty. Nah, still cant get on with it so if anyone wants to swap for cash, a Jazz or an Ibby of some kind, 4 string only, gives a shout. Local only or within driving distance. Cheers Jez
8. That looks tasty! Like the colour of the body, a very good contrast to the board. Jez
9. Jim Mine`s a bit of a heavy bugger as well but not as heavy as the poxy Jaguar I owned! It`s also quite a nice looking bit of wood for the price. Jez
10.
Here's 'that bass'
Nowt wrong with that lad, a bit of gaffer tape and it`ll be ok! The only one I have seen him play live is his signiture model. Jez
11. Aye, play it note for note. The basslines are a doddle but if the crowd get into it, your havin it large! Jez
12. C`mon dish the dirt! What band are youz paying tribute to? Don`t be shy! Jez
13. In his book White line fever, Lemmy said that his roadie damaged his favourite Rickinbacker bass and although it could be repaired, his roadie went mad, smashed the thing to pieces and was promptly sacked! I`m not sure which one but he said it was his favourite at the time. I don`t think it was his famoue Rickenb*stard. Jez
14. On a sort of similsr vein, who is the guy who plays bass with Robbie Williams? He plays a cracking looking black P bass. Anyone know anything about him? Jez
15. No thanks mate. It`s a sale I`m looking for . Cheers Jez
16. Rodney, you plonker!! Well I`m a plonker. Having owned a thunderbird in the past, I thought I could live with it and gave into GAS and bought a Pro in black. It`s a cracking bass and looks the biz but having gave it a good workout at a rehersal last night, it`s not for me. I just can`t get it to sit comftorably. As much as I want to keep it, I know that it will sit there doing nothing. The bass is as new, not a mark on it. I have fitted a strap button on the back and as anyone with one will tell you, it cures the neckdive. It has a set of Rotosound Jazz flatwounds fitted and I will throw in the oriiginal strings. I got the bass from Thomann and payed £300 for it and the strings cost £27 so I reckon that £240 is a fair price for an as new, only been out to one rehersal bass. It`s collection from Paisley or I could meet you somewhere not too far away. Photo is stock as camera is goosed. Right, I`m away to sit in the corner! Jez
17. Sorry to hear of this HJ. Just shows how fragile this thing called life can be. Jez
18. Love it man! Have you still got the jeans and shirt combo as well? Jez

Aggghhh!! You mentioned the Ashdown word!! You`ll have all the Ashdown haters on this site (and there`s a few of em!) awakened from their hole in the ground. Good choice man, I`ve had one for about 4 years and they are a decent bit of kit. Agree with you on the octave thing. I`ve punted my Eden and am going back to using my Mag. Jez
21. Our drummer cant keep time to save his life! Sometimes I wonder if it`s me that`s slowing or speeding up but the only virtue I have is good timekeeping. Sometimes he will play a song at the right tempo and the next time he drags it out. Or else he starts a song at one speed and speeds up as the song goes along! Does ma heid right in. If it wasn`t for the fact that he`s a nice guy......But being a nice guy can only work for so long. Jez
22. Eden Nemesis RS210. I paid £630 for it so I`m looing for £380. 320 watts, 20 kg so nice and light. Comes with footswitch, has been gigged but is in good condition. I have used this in all our pub gigs recently and it copes with a loud guitarist and drummer no problem. Here is a link to the website with better pictures and specs. http://www.eden-electronics.com/products/rsseries/rs210.aspx Here is a picture of the actual amp but the pictures on the site are much better! Am only getting shot of it cause I`m skint and have to pay for a Eppy Thunderbird. Collection from Paisley or will meet you somewhere within reason. If you want any more info gies a shout. Cheers Jez On hold
23. I`m not really one for using pedals but I fancy gettin a chorus pedal. The Boss ones are around £65 and the Beheringer £26. I know there will be a difference in quality but as I`m just buying one to try out, is it worth giving the Beheringer a try or are they mince? Cheers Jez
24. Jm. I think your problems are as much to do with who you bought it off. To send a bass out in such a state is bad customer service. Having said that, there seems to be an issue with Squire quality control. Unusual that As I mentioned in an earlier post, I paid around £20 extra to make sure it was a good, the same as I would do with any Fender guitar. I hope that your replacement is a good un! Iconic. If you need a copy of the manual, there are pdf`s on the Fender website. Jez
25. Check the bass guitar section. Self plus Waynepunkdude (we both own em and have modified them) and others have posted there. Good bass. Cheers Jez
