  1. Is he still making basses? He doesn't have much of an online presence.
  2. H What your looking at is a 2005 musicman stingray which was originally candy apple Red, the owner I bought it from had it repainted in a lambourghini style orange to match his orange cabs. The hardware is painted black and is flaked in places. While it's not a perfect finish it is a very cool paint that flips colour from light to dark and looks epic with the black. I bought this bass as a project, and wanted to add a fretless neck and hipshot tuners. I bought a fretless neck and waited months for it to arrive from Italy, but today I found out I have been refunded as it never turned up. The paintwork is far from perfect, and the finish is not smooth like factory finish, its rough to be honest, functional but also has some cracks aswell near the bottom. I was going to get this stripped and resprayed in a white colour. The headstock has been sprayed also, with no decal, but I have a decal for the new buyer. I also have a set of brand new black hipshot ultralite tuners that I can offer with the bass for an additional £75 The bass plays great and sounds awesome. All the sounds you expect from a stingray. I'm open to trades, fretted 4's and fretless basses. and would take a fretless status stingray neck in px. I also work in London so meet ups possible. Or collect from reigate Surrey. Cheapest stingray you'll find. One week only and if I can sell I will withdraw
  3. Are these good for fender style necks? My current one doesn't like the offset head shape and sits at an angle
  4. Personally think this is a great modification, the headstock is ugly as sin, and I bet it must weigh a fair bit, the body also suits the cutaway and bridge. Good work. Put it in a matt black and you got a cracker.
  5. I meant no offence bud, I wondered if you had maybe done a few upgrades to the bass that was all. She is a beauty.
  6. Didn't you buy it for £999? What's the reason for increase in value?
  7. I'm tempted to buy it back! I really did not want to part with it.
  8. Yip! So good infact that it's sold! Thanks to basschat and buyer.
  9. Picture of case, which includes case candy and original knobs, Alan key, Truss rod key.
  10. Hi bud, as we speak yes but lots of interest, more pics below
  11. So I never thought this would happen but my grail bass has been sourced so this has to go. I bought the bass as is, but in a very dirty state. I have removed and cleaned and polished all of the chrome, cleaned the fret board and buffed the frets, and put a new set of cobalt slinky on it. The idea was to turn this into a fretless, I even have a lined fretless neck being built for it, but it's not landed yet, I will be keeping that for now. The bass is in really good condition. The original scratchplate is mint with no marks, body is in great shape with couple of marks and one ding. It sounds great, nice growly rasp that only musicman can give. I have a grey pearl oil scratchplate and black screws if you want to change from original. I will add more photos soon. It does not have a case so pick up or meet up preferred, or we can arrange buying a case to ship it in. £500 is a steal, this is a USA built stingray!
  12. Thanks bud, it's a dream to wield, and as you say able to dial in so many tones.
  13. This is my cort gb modern 4, with matching embroidered branded hardcase, I have added some burl poplar pot knobs made for me by Jon letts. This is a very apprehensive sale, as I've got the chance to buy my grail bass. Really dont want to sell it so get it now before I change my mind. Roasted maple neck. Markbass pre amp. Active/Passive push pull. Neck bridge separate volume, tone knob. Bass mid and treble. Nordstrand pickups Sounds amazing. Poplar burl top wood. Bass is really light. It's mint, not a mark on it, home use only. £750, would prefer collection or meet up. But can arrange shipping.
  14. Is the scratchplate doubled up on this?
  15. Oh my word! I would sell you my wife for that neck!!! I'm desperate to find a fretless stingray neck.
  16. Gig bag added to the deal and including free shipping in the UK.
  17. I would trade for a fretless stingray neck or status fretless. I know they are rare but you gotta ask.
  18. Yes its a stunning bass to look at, never seen that fretboard wood used before. It just seems criminal to leave it hanging on the wall as an ornament. Plus I'm craving a growly stingray sound.
  19. I have here my cort b4fl mhpz. Its basically new, it has one small ding by the jack which happened in delivery, but apart from that it looks like an brand new bass. Beautiful low action, with rounds strung on it. The Ovangkol top on chambered Mahogany body with the F-hole exudes a classy look while delivering a deep, organic and punchy low-end sound. The Jatoba fretless fingerboard plays super smooth and true and has black markers for fret positions that will surely be appreciated by novices as well as experienced players. The trademark Bartolini sound is preserved in the MK-1 while providing superb sound quality and value. The MK-1 delivers plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound. The Fishman Powerbridge piezo pickups provide a very natural acoustic tone from the bass that can be used alone or in conjunction with the passive electric bass pickup. I am looking to sell to possibly start a fretless stingray project, so keen on any 4 string stingrays to trade but open to any trades. I'm based in reigate in Surrey and travel to London each day so I can meet up or travel some of the way for a meet up. I can now offer shipping in the UK included, will be sent in a box and in a gig bag heavily wrapped.
