  3. Dammit why does it keep winking at me!
  4. And just like that......its sold
  5. Up for sale due to house move is my 1987 music man sabre. Have not seen many of these for sale. The bass is in structurally great shape, the body itself only has a couple of dings worth noting, the paint has seen some action over the years and has marks from bring on a stand, and the paint seems to have lines in it. It shows its age which I personally love. The neck is in great shape no dings at all still glossy on the back. Frets and fretboard are in great shape. Headstock and tuners all fine aswell. These feel lighter than my stingray so I guess around 4kg. I do not have the hardcase, but can give you and old gigbag. Happy to meet in London or Surrey. If you want to arrange postage I would need to sort a box but could be done. I really want a status fretless neck for my ray, so If you have one I'll take in px. Could be open to a cheaper bass as px but need cash for the move.
  6. As you look down on it as if it was on a bass. The peak of radius at the back of heel to edge of heel 115mm on the top side, bottom side is 120mm.
  7. Morning mate, so the heel width at its widest is 64mm, middle Is 62mm and top of heel 60mm.
  8. My plan originally was to shave the heel by 1.5mm either side and 3mm off the back which would allow the fretboard to overhang the pocket in the body which would close up gaps. But I don't have anytime at the moment.
  9. I agree, I think you should 😀. The same company do make bodies to suit the neck, in the pre Ernie shape. It was no easy task dealing with them in Italian but the quality was worth it. I can send a link if anyone wants to do it
  10. Hi chaps, Up for grabs is my custom made fretless neck for a stingray/sterling. It was built in Italy and was a very difficult process to get it here. But the project has been abandoned so its up for sale. The neck is made from a lovely dark wood called niangon. The fretboard is made from wenge. It's really well made and brand new. The neck is slightly longer than my stock stingray neck and appears to be 1 fret more. The base of the neck block is about 3-4mm wider than they stingrays aswell and 3-4mm taller. So a small amount of work Is needed to make it fit. The headstock has a slightly smaller size then standard rays but exactly the same shape, and actually looks better than the stock ray. With import duty and hipshots it owes me a chunk. But willing to let it go to someone who can see it through to being on a body.
  11. Hi bud, looks lovely. is it a 4 string pickup?
  12. Cheers Tim. Yes she is a stunner of a bass, if it wasn't for a house move and twins I'd keep it.
  13. Musicman stingray unlined fretless in trans red with piezo Bridge. 2004 model with pau ferro fretboard. I think weight is 9lb 5oz. These fretless rays are very hard to find, this is one is 1 of 2 that I know of for sale at the moment with the piezo, the other being a lined fretless that's over 2k. The bass is in good confmdition generally but does have what looks like cracks in the finish and a few dings. The neck itself is great and plays beautifully. I will regret selling but a house move is now happening so I need the cash. It comes with the hiscox case which is in great shape like new.
  14. Such a familiar story. The chase is the buzz! I love it!
  15. Also have the black hipshot ultralites and string tree and the stingray neck decal
