  1. Hi chaps, Up for grabs is my custom made fretless neck for a stingray/sterling. It was built in Italy and was a very difficult process to get it here. But the project has been abandoned so its up for sale. The neck is made from a lovely dark wood called niangon. The fretboard is made from wenge. It's really well made and brand new. The neck is slightly longer than my stock stingray neck and appears to be 1 fret more. The base of the neck block is about 3-4mm wider than they stingrays aswell and 3-4mm taller. So a small amount of work Is needed to make it fit. The headstock has a slightly smaller size then standard rays but exactly the same shape, and actually looks better than the stock ray. With import duty and hipshots it owes me a chunk. But willing to let it go to someone who can see it through to being on a body.
  2. Cheers Tim. Yes she is a stunner of a bass, if it wasn't for a house move and twins I'd keep it.
  3. Musicman stingray unlined fretless in trans red with piezo Bridge. 2004 model with pau ferro fretboard. I think weight is 9lb 5oz. These fretless rays are very hard to find, this is one is 1 of 2 that I know of for sale at the moment with the piezo, the other being a lined fretless that's over 2k. The bass is in good confmdition generally but does have what looks like cracks in the finish and a few dings. The neck itself is great and plays beautifully. I will regret selling but a house move is now happening so I need the cash. It comes with the hiscox case which is in great shape like new.
  4. Such a familiar story. The chase is the buzz! I love it!
  5. Hey bud, I will get some more pics up later today, its trans red with lovely graining visible. It weighs 9lb 4oz. Has a few dings and cracks but they are all at the back of the bass. I really shouldn't sell this but we all get that gassing feeling
  6. As title says, I'm putting the feelers out to trade my rare mm stingray piezo bridge unlined fretless. Pau ferro board. 2007 model. I'm gassing for a custom acg fretless single cut or recurve. I have two stingrays, the other being fretted. I also have just received a handmade fretless stingray neck with lined wenge board which can be added to a deal. If you have a custom lined fretless you want to trade please pm me.
  7. That my friend is without doubt the finest example of my dream bass in existence! I've seen it on ebay for a while now. I can only imagine how it sounds.
  8. Is he still making basses? He doesn't have much of an online presence.
  9. H What your looking at is a 2005 musicman stingray which was originally candy apple Red, the owner I bought it from had it repainted in a lambourghini style orange to match his orange cabs. The hardware is painted black and is flaked in places. While it's not a perfect finish it is a very cool paint that flips colour from light to dark and looks epic with the black. I bought this bass as a project, and wanted to add a fretless neck and hipshot tuners. I bought a fretless neck and waited months for it to arrive from Italy, but today I found out I have been refunded as it never turned up. The paintwork is far from perfect, and the finish is not smooth like factory finish, its rough to be honest, functional but also has some cracks aswell near the bottom. I was going to get this stripped and resprayed in a white colour. The headstock has been sprayed also, with no decal, but I have a decal for the new buyer. I also have a set of brand new black hipshot ultralite tuners that I can offer with the bass for an additional £75 The bass plays great and sounds awesome. All the sounds you expect from a stingray. I'm open to trades, fretted 4's and fretless basses. and would take a fretless status stingray neck in px. I also work in London so meet ups possible. Or collect from reigate Surrey. Cheapest stingray you'll find. One week only and if I can sell I will withdraw
  10. Are these good for fender style necks? My current one doesn't like the offset head shape and sits at an angle
  11. Personally think this is a great modification, the headstock is ugly as sin, and I bet it must weigh a fair bit, the body also suits the cutaway and bridge. Good work. Put it in a matt black and you got a cracker.
  12. I meant no offence bud, I wondered if you had maybe done a few upgrades to the bass that was all. She is a beauty.
  13. Didn't you buy it for £999? What's the reason for increase in value?
  14. I'm tempted to buy it back! I really did not want to part with it.
