Yeah this happened to some frets on my Shuker and Jon simply filed them down - no problems since.

For the Spector USA they confirmed to me on E Mail it was 4mm I can’t seem to copy the link so here is a screenshot.

So I was attempting to turn the truss rod on my NS5H2 and couldn’t get it to move with the supplied “Allen key”. In fact there’s not enough width in the slot to turn it anyway! You probably know this already but for those that don’t know, T handled wrenches (like the Fender ones) are available for a few £ and using that it shifted easily! It only needed a quarter turn and the relief is now perfect 👍🏻

So sorry to hear this - hope and pray that your dad improves. in my experience worship bands are often a bit (or more) dysfunctional because we are often a fairly random group thrown together through having musical skills - compared to a band that forms often from friendships and mutual interest. Our group often drives me nuts, but I think I’m there for a reason (also the oldest member by far) so I tough it out for a “higher purpose”. Sometimes though I’m sure it’s right to take a break. How they follow up with you will be important in knowing whether it’s right to return. Perhaps also as bassists we are more aware than most of timing precision, and of “serving the song” cos it’s what we do!!

Ooh yes the JAN replacement (especially with the brass one) is an excellent upgrade - the others usually seem to fall apart after a few years use! The brass JAN does alter the tone somewhat so be ready for that if you go for that!

Lovely - I find Infinity basses hard to resist although ergonomically to play they are awful (imho) unless you have very long arms! 😂 still tempted to buy another though!
-
In fact they all seem to don’t they! Maybe good controls would be too much? Let’s see some pics from Spector any owners with gold controls!!
-
Very nice, but I think you need gold controls as well to complete the effect!!

New arrival - 2014 NS5H2 spalted maple with walnut (I think) body. Been looking for another since I foolishly sold my Buckeye Burl one!!

Had the pleasure of selling my Fender USA Marcus Miller V to Steff - what a great guy, clearly a superb player and with exceptional taste in cars as well as basses! 😄 Steff, it was lovely to meet you and I hope you enjoy the bass - happy gigging and don't overdo it over Christmas - ha ha !! Best wishes David

+1 for the KZ10 which I've been using for a couple of years now. Great Video and great bass playing - I found this comment in the Youtube comments section interesting: "a completely computer formatted show with metronome loop and voice countdowns. Even the audience participation on Let the Good Times Roll is formatted to eight bar patter and eight bar audience singing. Zero left to chance. Even their “walk out” is timed. The drone note is “in the can” and I have a feeling the background vocals on the first song are partially canned as well. I listened to Ben giving a lecture on his methodology and it was basically focused on discipline and preparation. So this makes perfect sense. Decisions are made, sequences are worked out and rigidly adhered to. He’s a gifted singer and a brilliant musician who also has a degree in business and marketing. Perfection is the goal. I have no problem with any of it." Maybe I should be less surprised at how "tight" some gigs are! That said, I heard "Ghost Note" at Ronnies a few months back - no in-ears in sight anywhere and an incredibly tight and funky set ! Show less

Much loved and used genuine US Marcus Miller 5 string from 2011. Very rare in black. Lovely maple neck with block inlays. Strung with Elixirs. Looks great on stage as you can see from the main photo but there are plenty of knocks & scratches which I’ve tried to photo. Electronics all original but I didn’t like the mismatching controls so it’s sporting all Black jazz ones. I’ve got the orginals and the chrome pickup cover. Happy to supply with either a genuine Fender road-worn hard case or a relatively new Thomann hard case. Only selling this and a Precision to make way for new Spector.

Love this !! - brilliant !

Thanks - that sounds like a really interesting role. Hope the automation doesn’t cut you out! The stuff that basschatters do never ceases to amaze me! ………so back to the original question, do we know who the actual bassist is (assuming it’s not programmed) or is it a whole variety of players?
