  1. I like the new song, works well in an old Kerang way, maybe a bit generic, but very catchy. Didn't particularly get wowed by the performance I saw, but the sound wasn't great and maybe they need a tour to get gel together.
  2. I did a rugby club gig a few weeks back, but it was actually a biker gig at a rugby club hall, so it was ok and a fun gig to do. We also go another booking from it - the band after us failed to attend (we were the 1st of 3 on the saturday and there were 2 on the sunday) and there were complaints that we hadn't been put on as the main group on the saturday as they liked us a lot, so we have been booked next month to correct that!
  3. Well, you have to wait a bit, even the first batch hasn't turned up yet. They said 8 weeks, 4.5 weeks ago
  4. Mines an OLP signature instrument. But not peach, most certainly orange!
  5. Yep, if there is an image to accompany the words 'I take it too seriously', thats the one right there!
  6. Sold Mike my Mustang bass a couple of months back (slow at these things) - sorry for not instantly recognising you (I did, but couldn't place where!). Trade with confidence!
  7. Bought an OLP 5 string bass from John last week, great bass, and came personally delivered, what more could you ask for!
  8. You can never tell. I played a stingray, didn't like it. Played a bongo, loved it. Played an OLP, which is a copy of a stingray and loved it, so don't know if I like them or not, or maybe that first one just had a baseball neck.
  9. I got a new iPad recently, well, not new, a 2nd Gen iPad Pro 12.9", so 2017 with uneven brightness, but hey it works and I thought i would get it to replace my ageing iPad air 2 that has a battery life of half a gig that is my music iPad. Turns out, maybe a bit big for that.. not sure. But I tried to connect it to BC obviously. It let me log in but I couldn't complete the TFA question - it said the answer was wrong, and it wasn't. I tried a few times, different case etc, and it just locked me out. Tried again today, it locked me out - so I had a look at the control panels and noticed all the 'new device signin' and thought, there is a lot of the same IP address, seeing as I am already logged in on a couple of computers on the same IP, so I put on NordVPN, selected somewhere else in the UK and logged in again, and sure enough it worked fine. Then I turned the VPN off and I can connect just fine on it. Seems like something to do with a different device to the one already logged in doing the TFA on the same IP address messes it up or something.
  10. Yep, I guess it lost that in translation, as this is most definitely orange!
  11. No, I haven't tried the FI IV, don't have room for it on my pedalboard at the moment and we have just got a keyboard player so my scope has gone down a bit, but still interested
  12. So how fast and reliable is the tracking on the low notes? I am guessing not much on the B string, but at what point does it get reliable?
  13. Not sure, have you tried ensuring you are not in private browsing mode, or that you havent' got cookies blocked? Cookies: Settings -> Safari -> Privacy & Security -> Block Cookies: Change to Allow from Websites I Visit or Always allow
  14. Well, it was a bit subtle as when I was looking I was wondering if this was the midi out thing you were saying about, or if it was just the sounds of the FI. Seeing as the FI is a synth its a bit hard to say. But plastic on your keyboards - nice to see someone else who has pigeons in their room!
  15. I am equally happy playing along with not my favourite songs. I tend to listen to songs on something that has a random mix and then just play whatever comes along in the shuffle, quite often songs you don't really know or wouldn't listen to, I do like the enjoyment of working it out on the fly and some songs really give you different ideas on playing. Or sometimes just doing whole other basslines than are already there.
  16. I would have assumed that was a poster for when he is playing at the local sports and social club, after the bingo.
  17. Coincides with getting a Tony Levin orange bass!
  18. When you ask that question you are probably ready
  19. Works well, got one last month on aliexpress for £25
  20. A weekend of two halves. Saturday night took us to a pub that I am not fond of playing in. It is very crowded, always feels like it is on the edge of something kicking off and has the acoustics of a swimming pool. Turned up, not very crowded, set up, still the acoustics of a swimming pool. Hit on a revolutionary idea I managed to get the band to go along with of 'turning the volume down'. It worked really well, and the sound was fairly balanced (for the venue - only so much you can do with wooden floors, shiney walls, massive tv behind the band and reflective ceiling). Started off and it was notable that there weren't many people there. Turns out that the put has fallen out of favour with the sort of people that are almost kicking off all the time, and instead of 100 people ignoring us, we had 25 people who were really listening. As a result, it turned out that although probably good for business, I enjoyed it a lot more than I ever have there. On packing up, some guy came up positively gushing as how good we were, and finding out where we were playing later. He had danced to pretty well everything since linkin park. Sunday was a club in a local village, I was having a problem with this as I didn't remember the venue at all, but had been assured by everyone we had played it, obviously they were right. A bit of a tricky decide as to how to set up - it was a long narrow shed, open to the sports field on the side, but it was also raining, so noone was going to be out there, so we faced down the room. The first half was pretty dire - loads of people, and there was a TV on the opposite wall we were facing with a load of blokes with their backs to us watching the football. There were people dotted around sort of moving and singing though, so not completely wasted. Then the game finished and the blokes wandered off, and we hit our 'you should be dancing' - 'does your mother know' combo and some women appeared from nowhere and did dance, and then basically carried on the for the rest of the gig, so in the end it went really well. They wanted to pay us extra at the end to go on for another hour, but I don't like doing that, it sounds sloppy and I am already tired, plus it was an afternoon gig, I could be home by 8, so I did and I was
  21. There was one item when I looked last week that was £171.10, reduced to £171.00 - took all my self control to not snap up that deal!
  22. This is a reasonable question, with regard to reopening an advert - if anyone needs to argue about the substance of the reason for not going through the sale, it would seem that either PM is a better place, or if you can't resolve it, take it up with the mods?
  23. That is concerning. Mine has be fault free, except the time I got the wrong jack socket for the input, then it didn't work so well!
  24. Indeed - you can't list the non vat price on a public facing price list as people can't buy it without vat, so anything you can't buy without a fee, the fee should be included.
  25. Does it come with binoculars?
