  1. I own twp prestiges and 1 premium (down from 3 premiums) and no standard ranges (again, had quite a few). Well, firstly, yes there is a difference, but not night and day difference. The woods are better, the pickups are better and they are (or can be) nicer made, or more consistently made. However, I play my 1605 more than my 5005 (and more than my 1000, but that is because it is a 4 string) because it is a lot lighter. Absolutely guarantee you will sound pretty much the same on both.
  2. Well, there is the fender Katana as well in the 1980s
  3. Not a fan of NR thunderbirds but that bottom one looks ok!
  4. Well, don't get your hopes up that they will do anything too radical! Indeed, looks good. Wouldn't kill them to throw a bass in there occasionaly would it? I know they don't really bother with basses, but the last actual gibson bass I had played really well, even if it was gut wrenchingly ugly! (EB5)*. * I didn't dump it because of the uglyness, it was the string spacing, I can't do 19mm string spacing on a 5.
  5. As I mentioned on one of the companies that posted that picture, I am guessing the innovation is the same guitars in a slightly different colour, and with another confusing label that people will have to explain where it fits in the range.
  6. I bought some off ebay the other day. They are going back today because they are fakes, but very good fakes. I am imporessed that someone went to that much trrouble to fake something so well, but still miss the last few details!
  7. Can bring a EUB if someone wants me to
  8. Mine is happy with hangers but there are limits what can go on there, some instruments are too ugly to go there!
  9. They can just play outside, its a long way from the road so it should be safe. !
  10. I have a red firey glow under mine, got them when I got my pedalboard, https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_spaceship_pedalboard_red_led.htm
  11. Is that a joke vocal line or real? <goes to youtube to listen to a 2024 janes adiiction live> oh
  12. There are many issues with talkbass, but not the ones involving logging on or getting to the site!
  13. Honestly unless it is a multi band set, which is unusual, our normal (covers) gigs are 2 x 75-90 minutes. Would be nice to go down to 2x60. If someone was to suggest 2x45 to us the group would probably decide to not have a break. And still go over.
  14. For irrelevant data points, my wife prints tons, mostly labels, not photographic, these are for her shop so she will be printing hundreds of labels a month, full colour as well as black and white lists, and shipping labels, mostly black and white with a small logo on them. I have had to restrain her from being physically violent to many printers, she has gone through quite a few in the time she has run the shop (20 years). This printer, the Epson InkTank she still loves after 3 years. Hardly any cost in the use of the tank and really solid printing. Also unlike the cartridge, especially not the epsons, it doesn't dry up if you forget to print over a weekend. It was also only a couple of hundred quid. But, its not a printer that we use for photographs, we just use it as a colour office printer, which is what it is. If you want something to hammer away at a ton of things day in day out without fault, this is your chap.
  15. Good question - I reported a post the other day and had the same thing, and thought that maybe it was just me seeing as I see the reports as well, if its general I will look into it ok, now I see why it is there, and will think what to do about it
  16. Given up trying to get it down to 2x1hr sets. I think it gets sloppy once it goes past that, but the singer will happily go on for hours if you ddin't stop him.
  17. I have the same issue, its very irritating, as quite often they are made before the gig which means when I should be setting up the stuff,. I am trying to copy over the set list to my iPad We have an epson ink tank printer too, as my wife does printing for her labels for her shop - we have had it 3 years and have gone through 1.5 bottles of black and still on the original colours. But I don't have a printed out set list.
  18. Honestly if you were going to use those and a sub, you could just get some Evox 12s, which would give you something similar as well as a 15" bass. You certainly wouldn't need to lift them head hight, which is handy as they are another 10kg on those, but at least they come with wheels!
  19. Normally there are loads around. Although I have got rid of a few of my ibbys I would never get rid of the 1605, and my Maruszczyk has a neck based on its neck, my new OLP has slightly less than 16.5 and the bongo has 17mm so they all work for me!
  20. Certainly interested in that
  21. That just means 'set the first image in the post as the preview image'
  22. The original Torn video was quite iconic, they recorded her and her boyfriend including when they didn't tell her that they were filming. Always loved the track.
  23. You make a for sale add and you add pictures - what is the issue?
  24. I don't know the issue here (and probably don't want to), but the job of support is largely explaining the manual or how to do things to people. Its a pain, but it is part of the job, even if the manual is good, which it often isn't. I spent a large part of saturday trying to understand the Boss ME-90B manual, I worked it out in the end but the manual was no help at all.
