I would hazzard a guess that 'most people' set their pedal board up and barely ever change it. Some people change theirs all the time. I just changed mine now, before that it was the same for several years.

No, that is how I use it. It is in legato (as it is a legato patch). press a note to hold that note, press select to cancel the note. If you press it for a long time then yes, it goes to select to select a patch but the time you have to hold it is considerably longer than the time you have to cancel it, it would be nearly impossible to do it accidently I would think (certainly never happened to me in hundreds of gigs). Just looked, and what you are describing is Hold mode, where select toggles between legato and normal mode. I have never used hold mode, mine is always set up in legato mode.

Why do you do it that way? Pressing the 'select' button is the standard way of cancelling the last legato note.

True, it does seem I should and odd that I hadn't already! I will take the blame for the SRs and the SY1, but the looper that was all on you and part of your revenge - I got that from reading your thread! I think on that score it works. I don't need that many patches, most of mine are empty, and the size / battery / convenience and accessible drum track to play along to seems quite compelling really.

My keys go straight to the PA so never tried mixing with a bass amp.

Yes, I forgot to mention, the actual sounds I use are from iM1 on the iPad from the 12 step, which is also running the mixer. Apart from the Yamaha reface DX which is using its own sounds.

No, open notes to be avoided as my right hand is playing piano. Hammer ons on slow notes. I only do it for Linkin park - in the end.

Sorry I wasn't too descriptive, I was out waiting outside a shop and my wife came back out! As dad says, this is per key. It is very handy. i don't really play individual keys, I use it for chords such as backing chords - it also has a hold, so you press a key, it plays a chord and holds it until you press another one or the cancel button. Very handy for backing pads / strings etc. Really fills everything out nicely but doesn't involve too much tap dancing. Very useful device. Although I have a Yamaha keyboard for piano playing for a couple of tracks now: PS - that was the first outing, the keyboard is on a holder now so needs less duck tape!

I do foot keys but I also do one track with piano, using a very small piano on my microphone stand! But I literally play the bass with one hand and the piano with the other.

I think (and I am not sure as it isn't clear) that ibanez UK replaced the neck of my EHB1505 when it broke. Hard to tell, noone admitted it or even mentioned it was fixed.

I think that is the covid issues. Mind you - i have got 3 basses since the start of it, ie, basses that haven't been played live. But have also got rid of 3 so we are in a holding pattern. And I might drop the B3n too, don't tend to use it, or change it to a B1-four, just for the battery power.

I am 5'8 and I never had a problem. i didn't really feel the neck was too far, not like the hofner cricket bat where you are always a few frets out. The only problem really was avoiding hitting the singer with the headstock, obviously how much of a problem that is depends on your singer

I would always make sure that my speakers were rated for the at least the maximum power of the amp. I have blown speakers, but not ones with a higher power rating than the amp.

That was often the outside EU case - when my wife used to sell to norway they would order in multiple small deliveries as it would end up cheaper (even though the shipping was initially more). Seems very unlikely that anything is going to change (for the better) any time soon. In fact the UK are due to put their customs in place sometime soon (when they have enough customs officers).

I record all mine (and gigs) with my zoom H2n. Quality isn't always great and mixing depends on location, but I find it handy to go back and check things.
