  1. Fancy a P Bass in p/x? Korean Squier? 60s Classic? Highway 1?
  2. Krispin asked me to send pics of the honey blonde and the white 2012. Sent. Cheers
  3. Sez lead series on the badge, so.... If it is a 320w 1982 cab - yeah! G12-80s. If it is a 400w 1982 cab - yeah! G12-100s If it is a 240w 1960 cab - yeah! G12-65s If it is a 300w 1960 cab - meh G12-75s Wotizzit?
  4. An 8ohm BW in a cab for £50? Cheap at £75 without the cab.... If only I had cavespace for another.....
  5. Two roolz: Don't confuse wattage with power. Don't strangle your sound by forcing it through a minimum of cabinetry. Double speakers is FAR louder than double watts. Ask a repair tech what is built to last. Lots of boutique names have pants build qual. Checking the shops is good, but - as with cars - the depreciation hit is vast as soon as you are out the door. Credible 2nd hand can help. If buying 2nd hand, remember to ask about repairs and mods. If they don't know - get it looked at. Esp. on eBay. As described includes replies to questions, so if it gets 'like that' PayPal protection may save mucho pain.
  6. Needs.... why are there always needs... ?!?!?
  7. 500w into 8 10s @ 4ohms will be plenty. The Ashdown @ 8ohms is a) less efficient than the hydrives and 'only' working the amp @ 375w
  8. £50 is cheap for a 15" driver And you get a box! If it is ply, it is old - maybe never was a tolex model. The originals were painted black for a good reason: tour it, bash it, work it; it comes back, you sand it smooth and paint it black = like new. Clever.
  9. V cool. Pity I am only able to enter a swap scenario.... Fancy a [attachment=141615:tn1_20347.jpg] ?
  10. Solid amp - loud as. Great cab. Cheap good stack.
  11. Anything that can take a keyboard can handle bass. If the speakers have a high enough power rating, they are safe. One of my favourite sounds is a Stingray through a Fender Twin Reverb. Wow! Maybe best ever - Precision through a Hiwatt 100 head through a basket weave Marshall 4x12 with 25s. Some risk to drivers, so just don't dime the head.
  12. Dull and muddy. Hmmm.... Not in my experience. Doug Wimbish has been playing Trace since forever. Try some early Tackhead.
  13. If the cloth front is green carpet, it should have a metal grill behind the cloth. There was a chap in 'wanted' looking for a V series cab....
  14. I can offer a cleaner than MIM 50s Clasic P in Honey Blonde or a handsome but lived in G&L 5500 in bowling ball blue.
  15. I have a 1x15 comme ca. Soopoyb!
  16. What is the power handling and ohmage?
  17. Most Trace heads will run into 4ohms lowest. (AH500 does 4ohms into each channel biamped) Most Trace cabs are 8ohm to allow multiples. there are a couple of exceptions: 4 or 8ohm verisons of the 2x15, 8x10 is 4ohm . Sounds huge and meaty through the 4ohm 2x15. Which I can do if you want one. The full size 1x15 with the 4x10 on top (with or without horn) is classic, if a bit of a lug. 4x10s are the choice for slap/bip. One is almost always enough. (I can do with or without HF tweeter). You can put it through the compact cabs (I can do a 1x15 and 2x10 with tweeter). Punchier, if less room fill. In my book, the big cabs are worth the carry. Any side-by-side will prove their merit.
  18. I can do a Musicman hard case if it helps....
  19. Paul is chuffed. And the bass stays local.
  20. Ohmage, please. Is the 300w RMS or peak?
  21. Bet it would like my Acoustic Image Clarus
  22. These are very.... thing! If it is your thing... very! Hartke 3500 through one is spanktastic! Tried my Bassman 70 through it before mine went - yeah!
