1.
Thunderbird, if you think people ask a lot for there stuff here, you are right,in a small number of cases. But have a look on some of the free sites £450 for an Epiphone Explorer £700 for a Japanese 57 RI £800 for a 5 year old US Precision £750 for a 10 year old US jazz In general buyers on here get an excellent deal.
Yes I agree it is a small number of cases and like I said there are some good deals on here I myself have had a couple I still think lack of money is the problem though most people just don't seem to have much spare money nowadays once the bills are paid there doesn't seem to be much cash left over but hopefully in the future things may pick up who knows? but on the whole yes Basschat market place is a cool place.
2. I've had a good read through this and agree with some of it and disagree with some of it , I think the fee of £20 a year is pretty fair compared to what you would pay on Ebay and also if you don't want to pay the fee there is always places like Gumtree you can use for free I think it would be nice to have like a swapshop where you did not have to pay a fee to trade guitars but I know it would be very open to abuse by people that wanted to sell but did not want to pay the selling fee, another thing I have noticed in the Basschat market place that might put buyers off is that some of the Basses for sale are not much cheaper than they are new in the shop now I know everyone wants to get as much money as they can for the sale of there stuff but when only a few quid cheaper it is a no brainer you might as well get it from the shop as you are covered by guarantees etc etc if the bass is no good I know on the flipside there are also some cracking bargains. But I think the biggest reason for things slowing down is that most people cant justify spending there money on basses and such when the cost of everyday living swallows there money up a sign of the times and it will probably get worse I am afraid but I hope it doesn't. 3.
Mate, take the stickers of and take new pictures of it - I reckon this would sell instantly for that price with the stickers off and no residue/marks left behind
I agree I think people are put off by the stickers and it is a nice bass
4.
Calling Marcusbell!!!!!!!!
I thought that cracking bass though wow
5. Very good review big thumbs up
6. I am not a fantastic player and dont know a great deal about effects I am going down the effects road now and they sure make a difference I just think its like everything else in life it is up to the individual what they buy wether it be cheap or dear if they like it then so be it, I can understand someone who earns there living playing the bass or whatever spending a few grand on a bass as it is the tool of there trade but for someone like me who just plays a bit at home for my own pleasure a few hundred is more than enough to spend besides if I had a 2 grand bass (even if I could afford one) I couldn't make it sound alot better than a £200 bass I think I would also be afraid to use a 2 grand bass, personally I think the most I would ever spend on a bass is £500 but each to there own I say
7.
I want to buy my old teal stingray back but I don't know who has it? 10. Hi I want to get a compressor now can I use any guitar compressor or does it need to be a bass specific compressor pedal? sorry if this seems a daft question but I am just starting on my effects journey and am still learning. Thanks in advance
11. Mr Bikenbass you should be banned from the forum for posting content that made my heart rate unstable lol good luck with the sale mate that's a cracking bass
12. Nice board and that Lomenzo overdrive is a sweet bit of equipment
13. I myself have never tried the HB gear but I would rather save the hundred odd quid it cost towards something I really wanted but at the end of the day it is up to the individual what they want and what they are happy with. I have had cheap stuff in the past that has been awful but then on the flip side I have had cheap stuff that has been OK and is still going strong guess it is just the luck of the draw and at the end of the day what you buy comes down to what you can afford I guess but I would never knock someone if there gear was cheap if they like it and are happy with it fair play to them I say

16. Don't think I will ever buy a Ric I think they are to expensive and I don't like them personally. But back on topic, that letter if it is real is totally disgusting and Rickenbacker should be ashamed of themselves.
17. Nice Bass mate if I had some money I would have this off you in a flash
18.
I think I've worked out his construction technique. Plant seeds for trees. Get tree to grow into correct bass shape. Job done
lol now that was funny
19. Its a great Bass mate I think the only reason it has not sold is because times are hard and people are all skint I think when things pick up it will be gone in a jiffy GLWTS mate
20. Just bought an amp off Mike he went out of his way to get the amp to me as I cant drive atm and delivery was not a viable option so he bought it to me himself. Mike is a really great guy it was a pleasure meeting up with him hopefully I will see him again at a bass bash or something. If you want to deal with a genuine guy who will help you out deal with Mike he is a top geezer. Thanks mate
21.
Aside from the 'is it' question, why a bargain? It has a starting price of £80, the finish price could be anywhere you'd care to name; there are thousands of instruments listed on ebay with low starting bids but they only remain bargains if nobody bids on them!
That is a very good point I thought it may be a bargain as usually fenders seem to get more bids than this and its only got a day left. Anyway back to the main question for you guys who know more about basses than me is it real?
