2.
As far as the overwhelming majority of BassChat members are concerned, there is no problem. To be perfectly blunt about it, we are not going to change the way that BassChat works simply to appease a small number of people who seem to think that their minority viewpoint is more valid than that of the majority. The majority of members have approved of the changes, the minority have had their say and now it's time to move on.
Pretty much this if some people have a problem tough luck I guess cant please eveyone
3. I support whatever the owners of the site decide myself
4. I have been thinking and mulling over what I was reading on the thread about charging money to sell items to raise funds for Basschat and as nobody can really agree on what would be a good solution I was wondering if the answer could be making the site a members only site where you paid a very small amount say a fiver a year to access the site I don't know if this is a viable option due to legal stuff such as the site might then have to be a registered business or whatever? I don't really know about all that kind of stuff all I know is I would not mind paying five quid a year to access the site and with all the people that would use Basschat I think it would raise more than the money raised by charging fees in the for sale section which could then become a free resource as membership fees pay the costs. I know I am new to the forum but I do enjoy it and find it a great resource. So anyway what do you guys all think about membership is it a good idea or am I just waffling on? lol
Started discussions on the Multicomp 10/6 Paid 11/6 Picked it up from the delivery office this morning (16/6) they having tried to deliver 15/6 So all in all good for me. My only suggestion to Samuel, in light of the comments above, would be to try to keep the comms up throughout to include confirming safe receipt of funds/ posting details. Going quiet after agreeing terms and being told the transfer has been made, even if all is OK as here, can tend to make the buyer twitchy. No blame, just a thought
Pretty much this bought some tab books and all is OK but communication is lacking after terms agreed and payment sent and delivery was a bit slow but all in all an OK transaction.
6. Thanks guys I thought it was a Boss clone.
7.
OK the 'Marvel' style locks will work - the screw which holds the plate against the strap will hold it securely. It'll go wide enough to hold twice the thickness of my 'Comfort Strapp' Hope that helps Cheers
Wow just checked out those Marvel straplocks they look good and a good price too might get some of those when the wallet fills up a bit lol good find Mr Ped thanks
8. Hi all I have started playing about with effects and I am enjoying it but I want to know if there are any cheap synth pedals like the Behringer BSY600 worth trying? I quite fancy trying a BSY600 as there fairly cheap at 30 quid new but is there a better equivalent at around this price range? I have looked at some secondhand Boss SYB-5 pedals and Digitech pedals on ebay but decided they were not worth bothering with as they where not much cheaper than new ones and to be honest I don't have a fortune to spend on pedals right now and besides I have only really just started playing with all those cool new noises lol. Thanks in advance guys
9.
It just looks like a Wooly Mammoth Clone, lots of them about. Nice graphics and LED use though. If it's a direct clone, they sound huge on bass. Si
I was thinking the same Ive seen lots of Mammoth clones but this is one of the nicer looking ones I have seen

16. Been learning a bit of Metallica but only half halfheartedly as I'm not really feeling much bass love at the minute I shouldn't really be playing as I am waiting to go into hospital for an op on my hand as I've done something to my tendons so all I have been doing for the last few weeks is 10 mins here and there on the bass booo hooo me lol

21. My thinking exactly knew there was a reason for it not to go on a guitar and roadworn looks aint for me I like a nice shiny bass
22. Hi all now I know this has been done lots of times but I am writing this as a guitar tech I know said that the best way to maintain your instruments appearance was by using MER car polish he says it is great on all materials and safe to use on guitars and all the painted and lacquered surfaces now I know MER is fantastic on a car and brings chrome up a treat but I don't know if I would use it on my bass what do you guys think of this Btw I use Dunlop 65 or Peavey cleaner on my bass.
23. I also use a Zoom B1 for practicing late with headphones
24. Gently rubbing a small blob and I mean a small blob of vaseline round the tuners will force the gunk out and make the tuners turn more easily
