[/quote] Easy - perhaps it's because the headstock is raked back a little bit but I can just lean the bass forward a bit and see it clearly - oh and as a teacher I have eyes in the back of my head, too ;p TBH the bass rarely needs tuning but it's good to know it's there.

I use a TC Polytune clip from which I removed the clip and attached to the back of my headstock. Works a treat! I do it all by feel but I like a straight neck with very little relief. I don't have a truss rod so luckily it's right for me but being graphite it hasn't moved since 1988. I like the action as low as possible so it clanks slightly when I dig in.
