  1. I have one in my office and for practicing it’s just fantastic. Headphones on, board plugged in, feels like I’m in front of a full stereo 20x10 rig on a bouncy stage.
  2. That’s strange. Are you definitely signed in on the other devices? Anyone else having the same problem?
  3. But that’s what the server’s for!
  4. Hi there I also found the octaver in the B1on rather poor. Shame, because it’s my go-to travel companion. In actual fact I ended up getting it to work much better than default by adjusting the ‘tone’ setting I think down to zero. I initially ignored it, thinking it would work like a normal tone control but actually it changes the character of the sound in a strange way, it sort of seems to add distortion as you turn it clockwise. In any event, with tone at zero, it sounded much better.
  5. SO tempted to change your profile to 'removed by crack anti-fraud bass team' Typical eBay behaviour - bet it only lets you leave positive feedback for him?! On one hand don't worry about the negative point, doubt anyone with any sense holds much stock in those nowadays - on the other hand, why bother with it at all. I use it for flogging random stuff but for anything I'm passionate about, eBay looms large like a threat to my satisfaction and enjoyment of said hobbies.
  6. Something to bear in mind although it may look like there aren’t many replies to an ad here, nearly all will be by private message so you might as well post one and see?
  7. I like your avatar!
  8. @G-77 one for you mate
  9. I have a tung oil finish in an instrument and wondered what’s best to clean it with? Any ideas? Seems like a damp cloth is good but perhaps there’s some nice product I can waste money on?
  10. Very good. Better on hard floor but either way it provides a lot of thump without making much noise. You’ll find it doesn’t need turning up much at home as it provides a lot of feel with very conservative volume pumped into it. I’m in York if you ever want to try mine.
  11. Yeah although now you mention it maybe a bass too (As long as you like the tonal properties of felt and construction paper)
  12. I reckon someone on etsy could make you one. People make all sorts to order...
  13. Shall I change your username to Unluckystrike
  14. Hi yogi thanks for joining in.
  15. Ah right sorry yeah forgot that. Yes, I’d go with half scale for the main convenience of using standard strings and the fact that it sounds amazing!
  16. I thought I saw Andy had made a gig bag for the NT shape bass? Mine is kind of a cream colour and fits the Classic Wing perfectly, but I think the new ones are black and they fit both shapes.
  17. Last time I imported a bass from the states I wasn't charged a penny, until over ayers later a letter arrived from TNT with a demand for payment (it was still their first letter). If I had the foresight to move house in the interim I don't know what they'd have done... so there's that!!! Specify TNT and get your affairs in order!!
  18. Thanks! I wanted to try doing recording and syncing the video with audio, which I haven't done before. I'll try and do a better one at some stage because I learned a lot from making that one! I also demonstrated only a few patches on the unit so will perhaps rehearse and plan a more 'professional' vid one weekend!! As you can see/hear, although my initial assumption would be that this bass would be a bit of a travel bass which I'd always use with an octave, it has become a superb sounding and playing bass in it's own right, and I only occasionally use it with an octave; and when I do, it has a really sweet synthy sound that works really well in a mix (which I'll try and demonstrate next time, too!!)
  19. And the criminal ‘handling charge’
  20. I put one here somewhere. Not necessarily a ‘good’ video but at least you can hear it properly (sound direct into computer) Search for Wingbass demo ah here it is
  21. I’m in York if you’re ever nearby. I’ll give you a shout when I’m next in London. Would be nice to have a drink anyway.
  22. What’s the reason for the longer scale? If you’re going to go small, might as well go SMALL - and half scale makes sense due to the use of standard strings etc. I’m not convinced that anything longer in the same octave would achieve a better sound. Then again it could be about feel, in which case you have my permission ;). You’re about twice as tall as me so think it might be about right!
  23. @Ashdown Engineering are very helpful here.
  24. Not enough string trees for me
