1.
Weight is 10.5kg inc case. Just had the neck off and truss rod does go in both directions. Ta!!
...well, thanks, I was more interestedi n the weight of the bass itself, as the mid 70s basses vary quite a bit in weight...
2. What's the weight? Does the trussrod move in both directions? Thanks!
3. My main bass for the last 2 years has been a 2013 DJ5 - it's a great simple implementation of a 5string Jazz-type bass. Playability and hardware is great, and very competitive compared to the big name...
4. The Delanos are not vintage sounding PUs. If you are looking for that, get Häussel PUs. On the other hand, I would not say they are extremely bright; you can dial in a lot of usable tones. Also, the demo video above is not a very good representation...
5. How much dies this weigh approx.? Thanks!
6.
Hmmm interesting... As far as I was aware it's post 2012 as indicated by the ability string through the body... Anyone know if there's somewhere I can check the serial to be sure?
From the neck serial # it's clearly a 2010. The string-through option does not mean post 2012, it has been available much earlier. What does thatnumber on the neck plate mean?
7. The TH pedal was not built as 2-channel amp, as far as I read. Therefore, it's an either chanel 1 or channel 2, because they have a noticeable volume jump. I always play on channel 1, which gives the Aguilar signature sound, and agree that it would be a nice feature of the pedal to use both channels as switchable option.
8. 34" scale.... You don't see that often in a Lull 5er...very nice!
9. Nice bass - what's the weight? Body looks like ash, correct?

SOLD!
Nope this was bought at Carey's shop direct.
I mixed that up then - sorry about that, and free bump for a great bass!

SOLD!

Is this a 34 scale? Have you by chance bought this a year ago on ebay? Thanks!
12.
And sounds pretty good, too. However, the improvement is less than I imagined it might be. The original pickup is not a ceramic bar; it has magnet slugs, so may be alnico. Measures 9k dc resistance compared to 10.1k for the Fender. As a side comment, the electrics in this were beautiful, shielded cavity, hood soldering. Impressive.
This has been reported before, by people who have even replaced the PU by a Nordstrand. Those stock PUs seem to be pretty decent.
13. Wow amazing...I assume 34 scale? Also, are the Nordstrand PUs the standard PJ set they offer? What's the weight? Thx!!
14. around 3mm at the 12th fret, between bottom of string and fret. I hate fretting noise, so I prefer a bit higher action.
15. A dream bass - just gorgeous. GLWTS.
16.
The only thing I'd suggest if overall weight is an issue is to check the weight of the 1U rack tray you're buying - we use these sometimes in our data centre, and they can be very heavy. Mind you, I had a Streamliner rack mount thing and that wasn't exactly light, either...
Good one - I have a wooden 3U rack which weighs like 8Kgs...more than the stuff that's in there right now.
17. I just bought a Crown XLS 1500. Around 3-4kg, 1500W in bridge mode @ 4 Ohms). Great power amp. Before you decide on anything: Just make sure the input sensitivity of the power amp matches your pre-amp.
18. Play one and then decide. For me, the plekked neck, weight, neck shape, and B-string of the DJ5 was better than a Fender US. BUT I can see that for someone else, the Fender wins. I would say each has its pros and cons, and you should buy whatever you prefer. I would not pin it down to the country of manufacture, as the Lakland Skylines go to the US for final setup. BTW: my 4-string Jazz is a Fender American Std....
19. I read somewhere that the (Skyline) Laklands of different vintage have slightly different pickguard shapes. That's probably why there is not standard template out there.
