1.
Why is this still here?? A great bass at a fantastic price - the Jeannie's plate must have cost £50 on its own. I already have two 55-02's (sorry, showing off now) and I'd have this one as well if there wasn't a fair likelihood of a black eye from the missus if I did... Have a bump. Someone needs to buy this quick and save me from an ass whooping courtesy of 'er indoors.
Don't want to start a discussion, but it's pre Christmas time, and all the leftover money goes into presents for the family right now...if this was January time, I would have bought it already. Good luck, looks like a great bass!
 2. Hi there, what's the weight of this bass? Thanks!
 3. Hi, what scale length is this? Do you know how old it is? Where was it made? Thanks!!
 4.
They have a 30 day return policy - no reason to take a loss on it.
Yep, just talk to the store and return it.
 5. PU volume depends on the mounting location and PU height. Check first that the PU height is correct.

 16.
Hi, I have an Aguilar TH500 into a SL112 and would like to add a lightweight 15" cab, any thoughts?
Yeah, are you sure you don't want to add another SL 112?
 17. Whatever combo you get, I would keep the option open to be able to hook up an extension cab, in case you don't have enough volume. I recently bought a GK MBE212 cab (pretty light), and a GB MB200 amp. It's light, quite loud, and didn't cost too much either.
 18. If you don't hear/feel a difference between these models, good for you! You can buy the more inexpensive one and be happy. I am not joking. With a lot of things, you pay a large premium for gradual improvements when you move to the top. At some point, not everyone cares about the difference any more.
Squier and Fender are distinct and separate brands, even if they are ultimately part of the same conglomerate. Just like Epiphone and Gibson. In the case of Yamaha there is no brand separation, so one major distinguishing factor is gone. Also the geographical pedigree is less defined - they'll all be Far Eastern instruments to some, to those who find these considerations important. To those who don't care about such things (like me), it's even HARDER to differentiate between them. Without trying one (which is my modus operandi given my location), I'd find it really hard to justify the spend on the 2024 (or even the 1024) when the 424 is likely to be a wee cracker of a bass. 19. There is a difference for sure when listening with headphones - however, in the context of a band, it would be minor indeed. In this AB comparison, it's quite obvious though. For me, the order would be: USA Japan USA maple neck MIM I liked the CIJ quite a bit finger style, but slapped and with a pick it sounded a bit dull. The maple neck was too bright for me, however with a slight roll off of the tone pot it might be a great sounding bass.
 20. Do it. You have a backup head, and a nice headphone practice rig (you can hook up an MP3 player as well and jam). Alternatively, you could connect your bass to a laptop via a USB interface, and use this as a practice rig.
 21. Sure, if you use it as firewood, you can boil or fry an egg.
TomBowlus says something here but I'm sure I can remember more - probably in that very long thread or the earlier one (link in post 1).
Thanks, much appreciated!
