  1. Hi mate, lovely bass. I have the same one in the darker blue. My first comment was to say ‘dont sell it!’ As it is such an awesome bass! if you have decided to, then perhaps you can make a little extra by selling me the Tonepump, and refitting the OBP2? Just a thought. cheers, Mike
  2. Just in case your selling the Levys pouch separately? If so i will take it. thanks
  3. Go for the Markbass. I use this and it is very good.
  4. Yes i think thats a must have.
  5. Hi there just have to give some feedback having received my JH Audio J16’s and used them on Saturdays gig. i was truly amazed! Hi fi clarity, and deep rumbly bass which you can adjust on the IEM cable. I was honestly hearing what my band mates were playing as never before! And super comfortable, never really aware of them other than the cable. one thing to watch for is volume, as initially i was running mine too loud. Zero distortion and lack of dynamic range toward the end of the set. Just lovely, clear music snd no ringing ears the next morning. Bliss. thanks to EBS Freak, and a shout out to Paul at Custom In Ears who was amazing. Very patient, and helped with my choice. if you thinking of going this route, and saving whats left of your hearing, dont hesitate - you wont regret it. now to solve my personal mixer……ME1 methinks……….. finding it a faff to get the keyboard player to alter my mix, so need to do this myself. loving this journey…….
  6. Cheers, good solutions thanks which i will take on board. custom fits first, and will see about getting the talk back mic. Do you put the drum overhead on a standard mic boom? mike
  7. EBSFreak what is your experience and opinion of the ambient in ear monitors, like these…. http://www.custom-inearmonitors.co.uk/iems/jh-audio-ambient-fr-custom-in-ear-monitors.html I am based in sussex do you have any thoughts on the best folks to work with to demo and order? i used the ZS10’s for the first time at our NYE gig. Currently from the A&H SQ desk wired to my small A& H mixer and wired to me. Using this set up to make sure its for me before deciding upon my final kit selection. it was a revelation as you said it would be, although i noticed treble distortion after around an hour ( a 3 set evening!), perhaps my ears shutting down? Or the cheapy in ears? However this did not change my opinion-at all, i am defo going this route and about to start sourcing my custom in ears. Hi fi clarity, and no deafness at all-or ringing ears at the end of the night. the whole band was playing at lower volumes leading me to think that i have been edging my volume up over the duration of gigs. I have been thinking this was others and i was compensating but i think not now! My bad. all the usual issues as communicated - ambient noise, not being able to chat easily with bandmembers or hear when they change the set list which led to a super pregnant pause when we played ‘I Wish’ out of order as i start it. Lol. All of these can be solved i think and if not i would still use in- ears. Wish i had discovered it years ago. Not intending to go wireless either as i am not Flea! thanks again
  8. great advice thanks
  9. Cool, so not very good then. 🤣🤣🤣
  10. Thanks. What do you think of ACS custom iem?
  11. Thanks very much, i really appreciate you taking the time. cheers
  12. Sorry, the other question i had was about the Backbeat haptic device. Is wiring one of these into the set up fairly easy?
  13. Hi there. i would appreciate more advice if you have time? Perhaps a chat or continue on email? i bought the ZK Z10 pros, which i used for the first time (wired) into a small mixer, with the mix controlled by the Allen & Heath digital desk that the band uses. I got on very well with it, much better than i thought i might. The ZS10 are very good value really and the sound was good. the reason i am going down this path is to try and reduce the overall volumes on stage, hear what others are doing more clearly! And also to protect my hearing. I wear hearing aids, with alot of loss at higher frequencies for need to take that seriously. the ZS10s having a super bass response, and i think they have a dynamic driver in conjunction with balanced armatures. going forward i have a pm1 on the way, and plan to invest in moulded in- ears. Budget is not an issue, but could do with your advice on two things please. - the best in ears to get - adding in a digital mixer to my set up to allow me to set the mix, not just the volume. i have found your advice brilliant so far, and want to thank you for that. best, Mike
  14. Hi Nick, sounds good. I will give you a call…. best, Mike
  15. Thanks guys, thats really helpful
  16. Still fighting my way through it. Still wondering if there is a system that is recommended. The in ear part seems to be quite well catered for. its the system which will allow me to mix the band into my in ears, which i have questions about thanks for taking the time to ask
  17. Hi all , can i ask for your advice and expertise please? i am starting my journey toward in ear solutions, mainly to save what is left of my hearing and also to get a good balance across the band. I am constantly struggling with that on stage. can you point me toward the best systems you have experienced, and any pitfalls or issues i should beware? thanks for your time mike
  18. Hi there, apologies for the slow reply! i feel your pain concerning ergonomics! After changing basses far too many times i settled on Dingwalls a little while ago, and have now fully made the transition to the fan fret system. They are light enough that i can play three sets in the evening without any shoulder pain, very flexible on tone for different genres!and i find my left hand has no stiffness at all after a gig. For me these three things are pretty huge! i have the Super PJ, which i find really good for solid ‘in the pocket‘ basslines. Anything which means good lo-mid, and non muddy bass then this bass flies. Its not as flexible in the upper register or super zingy if you know what i mean. I have the Pau Pau fretboard, so perhaps the maple would be different? However, when i am playing James Brown, motown or anything that normally suits a P Bass its quite phenomenal. The neck is the best i have played. Ever. The only but for me is the short scale at 32”. I have long monkey arms and prefer longer scale. For others this will be a good thing, so judge for yourself. i also find the banjo frets, and string tension give a great playing experience and sustain that goes on and on and on……. i also have the Combustion 4/2, and recently the NG3/4 and its these two basses that get taken to most gigs. The neck feels more Stingray than Jazz but still super comfy. But the tonal range, especially for Funk, and Dance stuff means i dont have to use an external preamp which i normally would with the Super PJ. dont be fooled into thinking that these basses are one trick ponies. Alot of reviews show people using them for Thrash Metal etc, because of their association with Nolly Getgood from Periphery, but they are great all rounders. The pre amp is very flexible as is the pickup selector, and it sounds great passive as well as active. i would recommend trying both before you make a decision. The Combustion/NG range are quite a bit cheaper, so worth a look. but be warned once you have made the move to Dingwall and fan fret there is no going back !! Let us know what you choose and feel free to ask any questions. cheers, Mike
  19. What a true gent! Brilliant to deal with and very fast delivery. What else have you got to sell Jason! Call me first, lol
  20. Such great basses. I have one in blue and just wanted to endorse the sale. You will be amazed by the tonal range and the open E, or D if drop tuned , are amazing. Glwts.
