1. Hey Nik, Check the manual for the various uses. It is a great pedal and I too have noticed no effect on my tone. The document is attached. Dan
2. Also Mike, How are you syncing your loops? Dan
3. CLICK Third one down is the pdf
4. Or buy Theo's LS2: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=51153 Dan PS. Am I pushing this LS2 thing or what!?!?
5. Bump for yet another price drop. Come on guys. I need to sell this to fund some other purchases and this really is the best of Squier. Its a Vintage Modified bass but Sunburst. It has the great vintage-tinted Classic Vibe neck, so its also a Classic Vibe but in sunburst and with Duncan Designed pickups. £175. No good? Make me an offer! Dan
6. I should add I've worked it out as £185 for the bass (which is what i'd do it for if collected in the Manchester area) and £15 postage. Thanks.

8. Oh man. I'm investing in effects at the mo and I really can't afford an ACG hybrid shape... Or can I? That looks lush. Loving that singlecut horn!! Dan
9. Hello! For sale is my Squier Hybrid. Its the body from a Vintage Modified Fretless and the neck from a Classic Vibe Jazz. So what you get is the classic sunburst finish with the vintage-tinted lacquer neck. It has to be seen to be really appreciated. There are holes in the body for a scratchplate (the VM was from Howard [TheBassDoc] and he said it was a Mexican scratchplate) and I'll include a w/b/w and a b/w/b. I've never used either of them as I prefer the body bare. As you can see, there are some amazing black streaks in the veneer top that makes it look spalted or like Korina or something. It looks AWESOME!! The strings are black tapewound Status Hotwires. They are nothing like Rotosound's black tapewound. These sound very lively and there brightness seems to be more in the upper-mids than the glassy highs, meaning this bass is a very vintage-sounding one. The Duncan-designed pickups are better than the one's in my other bass-tard (white CV body, fretless VM neck) but I'm planning Wizards for that so they stayed. There are NO dings or scratches as I've hardly played it (I have a couple of other fretted basses that I can't seem to part from) and that's the main reason for selling it. It comes with a brand new gig-bag and comes packed in the box that Howard [TheBassDoc] sent me the VM in. Very well packed!! [s]The price is £200 posted ono. (£185 for bass, £15 for postage) The price is £195 posted ono. (£180 for bass, £15 for postage) The price is now £190 posted ono (£175 for bass, £15 for postage)[/s] The price is now £180 posted ono (£165 for bass, £15 for postage) Anyway: the pics:
10.
i would second the suggestion for an Boss LS2, it's an excellent piece of kit for all sorts switching and effects stuff. you would be able to match the volumes between the sandberg and the squire and then use the footswitch to go between the two.
+1, and as I stated earlier the fact that they solve a number of other solutions mean that its a pedal worth keeping even if the reason for you buying it changes. Dan
11. +1 to a lot of what's been said. People regularly think octavers are meant to simply add an octave below what you're already playing. Actually, the effect works best when you transpose what you're already playing up an octave, use the '-1 Octave' signal as your bass part, adding fluid warmth to your sound. Then use your normal signal almost as a '+1 Octave' to add clarity and definition. Listen to a lot of classic fretless/octave playing and that's the way its used! Since 5 stringers go down to a B (standard tuning), I suppose it makes sense for the Octave pedal to track that low (My OC2 is not too bad at an A on a good day). I realise there are a few ERB players around, and I suppose their F#s are beyond our reach with mere pedals (but we try!). Dan PS Fractured my elbow a fortnight ago. Didn't take any painkillers today and had a small whisky. *hic*
12. Boss LS2. I used one for that exact reason, but now having one proves a great solution to a great many problems! Dan
13. Is your fretless particularly low output? Some people suggest rolling off your treble to clean the overtones and thereby give a 'purer' fundamental. Dan
14. Wow man! Fretless & Midi! I likey. Where did you get the ghost? Dan
15. I really don't like sunburst, so I bought a Classic Vibe Jazz (the white one) and swapped necks with my VMJ. Actually I was after a cheap ebanol board, so bought the VMJ! Dan

Wah woes
Alternatively, you could drill a hole in the pedal, put a mono jack socket in, and wire it to the wah switch. Then you can use a normal footswitch for an amp to turn it off and on.
+1. I'd open it, assess the situation, realise I had absolutely no clue what I was doing so post a pic of the insides on BC and ask "What the hell am I doing?!!?!". The replies would inevitably explain everything in detail and I would go ahead. I would have a cheap and yet fully-efficient pedal and have learnt a lot in the process. I love feeling like I have creative ownership of my instruments and effects, even if its just a set-up it makes me proud!!! So yeah, GO FOR IT!!! Dan
17. I can't solder for toffee so I bought some George Ls. I'm with the above posters that the way they work is to cut through the plastic coating to make the ground connection. It was a fuss when I coupled it all together and I hadn't correctly assembled one of the ends. No sound or a hum. But ultimately I love the transient nature of the product. I can switch my board up on a whim and it'll still be tidy and sound good. I haven't heard a change in tone, but I do have a very tidy board!! Dan
18. Hey Joe, Any chance of a review of those hammers? Dan
19. Or even just buy latching footswitches and replace the ones in the fs3? Even cheaper!!
20. WANT WANT WANT I love my Wooley Mammoth but god does it tear everything up!! Dan
21. Another Doblo here. 1.9 Diesel '01. Had it 1 month and its much better than the 1.4 Ka for bands!! Dan
