I'd consider using the whole bi-amping thing if I was playing a large gig. May play around at home with it driving my little Marshall combo.

Well, the Fission finally arrived. Not blown away by the tone, but also don't find it radically different from the POG or Whammy. The 4th up setting is fairly pointless in my opinion, and the distortion nothing to write home about, but I can see a number of possibilities for it. Have yet to try it in a band setting, so we shall see...

Actually, thinking about it, maybe that's just so I always have one more bass that I must have... The mrs will not be pleased...

I've always, always wanted a black bass, but have always, always been tempted away by some other colour. So... I don't really know...

I think Elite strings got it about right: 30-90 - Extra Light 35-95 - Light 40-100 - Medium 45-105 - Standard 50-110 - Heavy At least, this made sense to me when I was younger. Nowadays, the picky side of me would prefer 'Regular' to 'Standard' but still...

Will have to let you know! Just had a lucky Ebay win - put in a stupidly low offer which, against all expectations, was accepted! Been a long time user of the Micro POG and Whammy for their octave up, but they've always been very digital sounding. Will be interested to try this out when it arrives.

Gig went really well tonight! Will post pics tomorrow when ive got time. However, for future users of the Baton some tips: It may need some TLC at points - nearly lost a knob tonight, and you dont want to do that! The bass is quite quiet - may need a volume boost compared to your normal one. Night all!

Well, we liked Threesecondrule, but that was taken, as was Fivesecondrule and Tensecondrule. So we changed it to Threesecondfool and it stuck.

We had weeks of emails flying back and forth. I think eventually we all just got tired of it, so the first thing that somebody suggested that we didn't hate was the one that stuck!
