1. I'd like to get a pedalboard just consisting of Big Muffs from every era... Not to play through as such, just because...
2. Bass Guitar Magazine have put in a good word before. They may print something further now that this has got a little more attention.
3.
Hey guys, just put the order in with Ry, so it'll be a couple of months, but get some pics soon! Dark Driving and custom Grey Stache / Rat Tail combo (The RatStache), both Kid-Painted!
Well, ok, I was expecting september time, but just got the email from Ry that these are shipping today!
4.
But for 99% of the time with 99% of basses, nobody really knows, nor cares, about any difference? Especially as bolt-ons seem to have made a resurgence in custom basses.
Yep. Neither is better. Just different.
5. Fair dos. I'll try out a set once my current rounds have given me their money's worth!
6.
http://www.labella.com/products/760fs/
Oh, I know they're out there, just not quite willing too give up all my top end just yet! Anyway, kinda hijacked the topic there for a bit...
7. Ha, yeah, that would be interesting... Nah, I quite like the D'addarios, but they don't do a 45-105 set, and not a big fan of 45-100 or 50-105.
8.
Come and join us! Be free of guilt and shame! Wear your flats with pride!
Have just found that Strings Direct are doing flatwound singles... Hmmm....
9. I've always felt that I'm really a closet flatwound user...
10. Maybe use an E-bow on a one-string fretless...
11. I used to change mine for every gig I played. That was some time ago... I used to have a lot more money to waste then! Nowadays, I'm not too prescriptive. Just change them when they no longer sound good. Set of D'Addario Steels on my Ricky still sounding good after several months!
12. I'd offer myself, but my teaching skills are nil!
13. Not sure, but if you get a chance, check out Nevada Music, just off the island. They've got an advert board and it's a better store than most others locally.
14. What you want = bass Octave down = more bass What you want = Octave
15. I'm in Three Second Fool - originals and covers. Can be found here: www.threesecondfool.co.uk and here: www.twitter.com/threesecondfool and here: www.facebook.com/threesecondfool
16. Was tempted, but looking at this got me looking at the Fuzzrocious site, and long story short I ended up buying a custom built pedal stright from Ry... Still, my wallet's a lot lighter, so someone else can grab this bargain! Have a bump up on me!
17. Hey guys, just put the order in with Ry, so it'll be a couple of months, but get some pics soon! Dark Driving and custom Grey Stache / Rat Tail combo (The RatStache), both Kid-Painted!
18. Quick Q: Does the Rat King run on 9V DC?
19. Hi, Rat Tail still available?
20. Hmmm, sorely tempted... Still fully working and all?
21. Wish I could afford it... I'll keep checking in here til I save up enough!
22. Things are stepping up a notch! Good work everyone. Also, Jim - thought you were offering an Ashdown cab back there for a moment...
23. Wow, great news guys!
24. In my band, we've kind of accepted that we're not going to be 'big' (nice if it happens and all, but...). That said, we still take a professional attitude to gigging - Be practiced, turn up on time, don't mess around in sound checks, wear decent clothing and yes, keep the stage tidy! There could be a point of view that it doesn't 'matter', but then again, it doesn't take that much more effort to make the stage (or floor, or corner or whatever) presentable. It's just part of the overall entertainment that you're providing the audience!
