  1. Well, his profile page says he last visited 12 hours ago.
  2. This stunning piece of classical music which was mentioned in an article in today's Times magazine. Came out in 2004 and was later apparently used in soundtrack of Shutter Island. Very beautiful indeed
  3. Bought a lovely bass from Andrew. All as described .... plus he drove the not-inconsiderable distance from the Kent coast to London to ensure it was safely delivered. Top marks!
  4. I suspect many bassists of my generation learned from Lemmy's propulsive playing on Hawkwind's 'Space Ritual'
  5. Does this fit the bill? Weighs 13 pounds, side rest, £1250, full 3/4 neck (with heel) that can be played arco etc. Oh yeah, I am selling it!
  6. Weight 5.94kg or 13.1 pounds, without side rest. Pics of heel and rear
  7. I was 6/7 in 1970 and living in Melbourne, Australia. The only song I actually remember from that year was Tiny Tim singing "Tiptoe through the tulips" on a river boat procession in Melbourne. Confusing
  8. Chuck in a dose of early prog Trespass- Genesis H to He who am the only one - Van Der Graaf Generator (Not including Floyd's Atomic Heart Mother as its a bit pants compared with the subsequent few albums)
  9. Some fab industrial funk bass playing by A Certain Ratio's Jezz Kerr

  11. @discreetwas always entertaining and also a fine bassist (I saw him play live with Pigbag maybe 10 years ago). I recall he did occasionally take breaks from BC and this may be another of those
  12. I also quit for a few years for my own reasons (which I won't go into). But obviously I had to return at some point so I could resume losing money on buying and selling basses.
  13. FYI, I was selling mine for £450 and it has a nearly mint set of TI flats on (ie, >£40 of new strings)
  14. Mine is going back up FS as I still have too many basses (I know). One BCer had first dibs but hasn't been on the site since Sunday and not replied to my PM so I am not sure if he is still interested? Edit: the BCer concerned had COVID this week, which means I am going to hold fire on putting mine up FS. Only fair to the poor dude
  15. Dang, and I was just about to ask about East 17 before East17
  16. The tort from that era was fabulous. Beautiful looking bass with a vibrant burst
  17. Job lot of s/s rounds sold Dr Sunbeams (long scale) plus La Bella and Dunlop flats (both short scale) still available
  18. Action with D'Addario 45-100s 3mm at 12th fret, ie low/medium (in my reckoning). Excuse sausage dog paw prints on my trousers, wet walk this morning!
  19. Looks stunning from that one pic ... but can I be 'that guy' that says more pics would help move this lovely bass on fast? Plus more details, eg weight. Either way, GLWYS!
  20. Pics from previous owner on this link https://www.bassic.de/kleinanzeigen/azola-bugbass.14989/
