1. Size of a cow into Jailhouse rock and back
2. To charge a member fee, you need to have certain parts of the site members only, or get some sort of discount scheme going with suppliers. Obviously arranging discounts with suppliers bring a f**k load more work for the powers that be and can turn into a semi full time job. If it's about generating revenue for BC, then suppliers sponsoring sub forums can work well. To make the whole site fee paid member only would kill it virtually overnight. all comes down to whether the owners want to run it as a hobby or as a business really, but with the other thread going that mentions guitarchat.co.uk / drumchat.co.uk I think that answers that one!
3. Yep, and can't (iirc) transfer from one MBNA to another.
4.
Thanks, but unfortunately it's limited to 8 tracks simultaneously.
Thought they done a bigger one? Could be wrong though
5. I had and old Sammick which was pretty nice to play and didn't sound bad. Just couldn't get used to 5 strings so ebayed it
6. Our guitarist has one of these: http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Zoom-R16-Multitrack-Recorder-Audio-Interface-and-Controller/B7S Any good?
7. Drop the song from the set
8.
Loud, but we all know mixing driver sizes is asking for trouble!
Would be someone else's trouble though!
9.

wouldn't you just love to plug the bass into that just to see how loud it goes
10. With guitars on the back seat, i can get my 410, amp, guitarists 2 12" valve amps + 2 gig bags in the boot of the scenic with the parcel shelf on. But who the f**k wants a scenic ..........
11.
+1 I think the Vox Amplugs sound terrible. As do the IOS software amps. CB
Presuming you have the bass one? Mine is pretty good. Can hear what you're playing although they do munch through the batteries
12. as above really, stay away from everything with a speaker in it. Worst culprits are usually stage monitors. The shape of the room shouldn't make too much difference unless you were bl**dy loud!
13. Dunno if ive missed it but...... Sunday bloody sunday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgyVvoODWGA
14. Don't think i've ever clicked an ad on any forum, so for me they don't work. Personally i'd prefer a membership fee with only members being alowed access into certain areas of the site (general chat / marketplace). Sub forum sponsorship seems to work on other sites i use
15. Get yourself a facebook page (not group) set up and you'll have a ton of them sent to you
16. And the rest. I used to roadie for a band probably nearly 16 years ago when it was the Orange, and the last one I done it had changed names so probably 14 years! The staircase was a right pig, quite wide though so a 2 man carry.
17. Dunno if it's still going (been a heck of a long time!) but there used to be a venue on the cromwell road. Was called the Orange, but later changed to West One Four. Probably a sainsbury's or something now
18.
Here's a money saving tip for one bunch of musicians.... Make a duplicate of this forum & just add an "r" to make Brasschat. Saves a fortune on all the individual blowers too. Though you might find the in demand players needing things like Tubachat or Hornchat (though that one might get a lot of visitors expecting something else).
Or remove the B and use that as the singers forum
19.
First dance - All my lovin' by Dan Reed Network
First dance we cheated a bit. The band we had playing were the first band I was in, and managed to round them up from various parts of the country to play the gig. Obviously I got up and done a song with them, but what the rest of the guests didn't know was wifey was going to sing. So I done my song, then the singer dragged the missus up and we done Don't get me wrong by the Pretenders. Seemed to go down better than a first dance! Probably the most nervous she had been all day!
20. If he has a double sided beater (hard or soft), flip it round and see if it's better to work with.
21. We had my wifes godson playing the organ in the church. Been playing piano for 20 odd years and was regularly roped into doing churchy stuff, so certainly knows his way round the keys. We had the generic wedding stuff entering the church, but on the way out we had a mixture of Meatloafs I'd do anything for love, Let me entertain you, some abba song and back in black. The regular churh organist look horrified at what he was doing!
