Allo!

Welcome aboard
2. Great description Rick. I never realised that the body of a '56 had the same shape/contouring as a '58 P Bass. Goes to show just how the scratchplate/control plate has an impact on design
3. The problem with measuring by SPL is that this would only be possible with combo's. You cannot do this with heads as the speaker as there are too many variables such as speaker sensitivity
4.
Possible daft question - are you getting the hiss with the pedals bypassed, or just with them engaged? Just worth considering whether the hiss is coming from your bass, or alternatively if you've got power and signal cables running side by side rather than perpendicular, as well as the suggestions above... Another thing, get the TU-2 out of your chain and see if you get any improvement. I found in my rig it dulled the tone, not just taking some high-end, just killed the sound and added hiss. I have mine on an A/B switch and my rig sounds better both with effects on and bypassed. Google "Fulltone AB switcher" and grab your tools if it sounds better without the tuner! Other people don't have this issue, but I've heard many complain about it in the same way.
It will be easy to test this - remove the TU2 and see what happens
5. Hey Clarky, post one of the photo's
6. Withdrawn from sale as soneone has just bought my RH450, so I will be keeping the Classic as my back up
7.
As I said last time, it means that the RH450, Classic and Staccato are rated at 450 watts and the RH750 at 750 watts. These are the numbers, the only numbers, you use when matching cabs. I played my Staccato through 2 300 watt cabs and my RH750 goes through 2 400 watt cabs. I'd be surprised if you really think that your RH450 is actually only putting out 236 watts!!
Would you say that the RH750 is much 'louder' than your Staccato, or is it a case of more 'slam'?
8. Sounda the same as my RH450 - doesn't have the presets or tuner which seems the only difference. Someone is interested in my RH450, so if this goes first I will be keeping my Classic to continue as my back up amp.
9.
My ´62 Jazz (sorry for the crappy picture, I gave my best...)
That's so nice it hurts
10. I will be there, only a few stops on the underground
11.
Why should they accept liability for things that aren't packaged properly? They're there to deliver parcels, not to check that the sender hasn't been a pillock.
I agree, Parcelforce are not to blame.
12. Richmond - Surrey/West London
13. Tears of a Clown, great bass line
14. Oh, and I fancy getting a TF800B
15.
And a Yamaha 2024x !
I used mine at the NYE gig last night and it was great.....
16. .....and not a Badcat Cub II
17.
I think you may end up disliking the bass because of bad feelings. Personally I would write the situation off because the more it drags on, the worse you will feel. I recently bought a Squire P/J bass in 'perfect working order," just a few minor blemishe"'. True, except the fact that the truss rod is to it's max and needs repairing. I paid £90 for the bass. Will cost me about £40 to repair. But I can't be arsed with the hassle/dispute etc. I put it down to experience. I know the majority will disagree, but I just want happy bass playing vibes. If it's more about principle to you, **** it. Turn the other cheek and move on man. Good luck
+1 - the last £14 is not worth the hassle IMHO
