1. Is the vba not just 2 ohms load as the lowest? Ie if you select 4 ohms and plug the 8ohm cab in it should run fine no?

3. Mmm strange, ive always found markbass to be really clean sounding. Did you play with filters as the eqs on markbass amps at least to me seem to be very effective!? But also if you love the ebs sound then maybe ebs is for you?
4. how do they get two channel in these heads? is it swtiched by a footswtich! my bass clipped the input on one of the early ones of these so ive always avoided them! maybe its time i gave one another go? andy

6.
I think a previous poster mentioned this, or something similar... You could try contacting Alex at barefaced... He might be able to make an arrangement, contact an owner on your behalf, maybe arrange a demo if he's demoing them nearer you (It happens for most manufacturers, boutique...not so much). Plus you might get the will to travel to the home of barefaced and work from there - I'm not saying you're lazy, but if I knew the cab I wanted was half a day away... If I could check it out I would. He's sound, and will give you the oppertuinty to try the cab if he can. I should mention, although you probably know this, he has lead times of 6 - 8 weeks... not super long, but it might mean accepting a lower price for your 610 if you have to sell in a hurry... You'll find a way. I was told I'll be informed when the build run starts for my cab... that info could allow you to hang on to the 610 till the last minute of course. Good luck!
Thing is ideally i need to trade my 610 for the barefaced as i can't get the other money together at the min! Im in no manic rush to get rid of the 610, its an awesome cab and alex will still be around. Just wanna get the right deal for my cab so can finance the new cab, and i just couldnt take the risk of ordering then selling my cab as ive had a few deals no happen on this cab already. Andy
7. thanks man! if i had the money id just order and return if i didnt like sadly i cant take the punt as i have no funds. fingers crossed someone will get in touch andy
8. tuesday morning bump! awesome cab looking to go to a new home! all offers considered!
9. no probs dude was more of a feeler anyway! andy
10. is the 412 the same size as an 810 cab? still interested in a 610? andy
11. Dnt fancy a 610 do you? Andy
12. Id try plugging into the low input, im guessing the high will be doing a 15db cut like an active input would? Probs why the needle not moving. Ive not had an ashdown but made this mistake on a old trace elliot amp and couldnt work out why i had to crank everything to be heard! Then next practice plugged in to the passive input and was so loud i nearly crapped myself!! Andy
13. these look pretty good! sound nice in the videos? anyone have the 410? andy
14.
The high price is because it's not aimed at bass players. Its a piece of analogue gear to be used with other analogue keyboards. The 5 CV inputs bring massive openings in sound for players that are using analogue keys. It's expensive for a delay pedal if you just going to use the input & output. But it has so much more if you are syncing it with other gear, the price is nothing if it opens new sounds to you in the keyboard world.
yeh i suppose you've got a point there! andy
