1.
Andy, do you not like your LM Tube head? A 115 cab with that head would seem a good solution as the amps are small and portable. I see you already have a 115 trace cab, so are you looking to get 2 15 speakers under an amp eventually? The GK Neo 115 have a good rep. I think they may do a combo with a neo too.
Yeh i like the head, id keep it as a backup but need to sell to get the combo, Yeh im looking to get a 215 stack in the end, with atleast 500w of power. The weight isnt a massive problem due to having a van and also ill grab a trolley jack to make moving it even easier
2. What makes it pain? The shear weight ? I realise a 115 combo wnt be light unless i blag a silly cheap jeff berlin mb but doubt that will suit tonewise with my bands! Andy
3. ive gone a different way due to some gas now, thank sfor all the posts and advice mods can remove if you want
4. i love the filter twin!!!!!! when i start building a board again im gonna be all over one of them!!! andy
5.
Pardon my ignorance. So if i have 2 x 8ohm cabs and link one to the other will that then take the impedance down to 4 ohms and give me the full power out of the amp?
yeh bud it'll be a 4 ohm load. andy
6.
Don't know if they would be gig worthy, but they sound niiiiiice!
yeh ive tried one at a practice studio but it was a 210, it was vey quiet so im guess it was one of the 250w versions. im looking into getting one to put atop of my 1153 cab to have a 215 stack but be much more easy to move around but looking at it all the 500w 115 ashdown combos seem to be being disconntinued? andy
7. Just daisy chain the cabs dude
8. what do you guys think of there 115 combos seems to be quiet a few out there? any favs? andy
9.
Yeah I'm not interested in it because I'm maxing the LM2, just thinking if I move the Streamliner on, wouldn't mind another Markbass, but something a bit different Cheers for the input Si
at some point id love to try the markbass heads with have the extra mid controls. andy
10. I def find that my lmt500 is much warmer than my old lm2 but with the changeable pre amp it can obviously go nice and clean This is my second really happy only selling mine at min as i need smaller foot print. Andy
11. looks like you'd need to grab another amp man. have two cabs running from the abm and take a line/pre amp out and put that into the power amp in on the second so your just using it as a power amp, or just get a power amp and hook your other two cabs up to that. andy
12. never had this with my db750 could it be to do with a bad earth supply to the head? def shouldnt hiss tho mate. andy
