4. The hartke is an awesome little cab, i use it on 4 ohms on its own just to get the full power from my amp but like the guys have said there no really volume increase. But they are super light ill def grab another when i can. Its the only cab ive seen with an impedance swtich Andy
5. Get some cardboard and bubblewrap and do the best u can. Andy
6. nice mate
7. dnt some of these cabs have lights in them to show your pushing them a bit hard? im pretty sure my 610hlf did? never saw them tho? andy
8. Tried this the otherday, sounded nice! Alot of deep lows coming from the 15 and some nice throaty attack from the 12. Sadly means i may have to add a hartke 15 to my set up one ive got another 112
9. you'll def find a bargin in the classifieds! there was a few trace elliot 715 combos that went for silly cheap! take your time and look around and you'll find some really good deals! andy
10. gav bought my trace elliot 2103x bass cab from me, really simple deal no rubbish and also a generally nice guy! andy
11. Just as a curveball im really impressed with my hartke hydrive 112? So could also be worth a look.
12. No mistake bud if you like it?! The overdrive is really nice' as is the compressor as it effects the lows and highs seperately! I tried one in mansons yesterday through a beastly trace cab which had 210's and a 15 in the same box. Nice head mate go for it! Plus i forgot the green lights!!! Andy
Here're my weapons of choice: Trace Elliot AH1200 - Mesa 15" Diesel Wedge 400W/8Ohms, - Mesa 15" Diesel 400W/8Ohms , - Glockenklang Quattro 4x10" 800W/4Ohms + Engl Squeeze guitar tube amp (for emulated rhythm guitar signal via Akai Unibass + Mesa VTwin) Sounds tremendous with my Wals - drummers and guitarists beware
holy crap dude!!!!! my new rig is some what smaller
14. as long as you listen and make sure your not distorting or the speakers are farting, you'll be fine. saw a guy last week using a db750 with 2x112 cabs sounded wicked and was loud as hell! and that amp puts out 750w at 4 ohms. as above play as much as you can then get what you like the most. andy
15. bit of early morning bumpage
16. how is this still here!? thats alot of amp for the money!
17.
Nice little rig! What is the Hydrive 112 like? Nice bass as well. Oly White Modulus?
the 112 is really nice i wasnt sure if the aluminium cone would add much but it really does! alot of bass and a really clean top end! very happy indeed. indeed it is! well it was its ageing nicely to a more creamy white. awesome bass! andy
18. hi guys well basically as the title says today i have finally gone from one extreme to the other! about 8 months ago i was rocking the rig below! aguilar db750 and 610hlf, awesome sounding rig but was very big! ended up needing to sell the aggie due to money probs and went for a markbass lmt, but the 610 was really a bit to big for my needs so traded it with bc's very own thornybank for a couple of old school trace elliot cabs. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:115857] really liked this rig actually, was much easier to move, but alas i sadly was up late and while watching a marcus miller concert started to check out some swr stuff! which led to watching some smv videos and seeing victor wooten harke rig last night before i took a trip to mansons in exeter to go nuts and try out alot of bass cabs! and ive come home with this little beauty to go underneath my swr headlite! the hydrive cab was so impressive, really crisp clear high's and i cant get over how good the lows are! sounded really sweet with the headlite. its switchable between 4 and 8 ohms and the tweeter is really nice, and as you can see from the pic its pretty damn small! easy one hand lift! its really loud aswell! and also tested it out with a 15 underneath sounded sweet so not in a manic rush to sell my 1153. however i cant stop myself wanting to get a second but as i said no rush! now i see what you guys out there with 2x112 rigs are on about. Andy
19. Bought an swr headlite from tommyk awesome guy to deal with got it delivered safely and quickly and was exactly as decribed awesome guy to deal with!! andy
20. Pre work bump need these gone as im gonna grab my new cab this week fingers crossed
21. Or you could just take a line out from one combo/amp into the power amp of the second combo? That way you just need on extra lead? Andy
22. Ive got a beast of a 210? If you wanna try that? ;-) Andy
