[/quote] its meant to be 1000w at 4 ohms, but ampeg have lie'd its not that loud, it is loud but my old db750 was much louder and that was 750w at 4 ohms i know its all down to thinking it louder but i reckon the pegs about 700ish at 4 ohms? andy

not wanting to sound like im not being objective but i had an svt pro 6 with the peg 610, it really is a loud rig! id just try and find a few and give them a go? i mean you can always get a s12 and send it back if you dnt lik it? andy

Is the vba not just 2 ohms load as the lowest? Ie if you select 4 ohms and plug the 8ohm cab in it should run fine no?

Mmm strange, ive always found markbass to be really clean sounding. Did you play with filters as the eqs on markbass amps at least to me seem to be very effective!? But also if you love the ebs sound then maybe ebs is for you?

how do they get two channel in these heads? is it swtiched by a footswtich! my bass clipped the input on one of the early ones of these so ive always avoided them! maybe its time i gave one another go? andy
