1. so im really happy with how my rig sounds atm sits nicely in the mix with my band. i use an always on overdrive (mesa flux drive) to push the terror into nice gritty drive, but thing is im extending my effects soon thanks to tom from cog effects, and im gonna be pushing some octave and fuzz through the amp aswell and have been looking at ways to protect my speakers in the obc 410. i know to watch the volume etc and listen for farts etc but with everything going on its gonna be a bit hard to hear if im over exerting a speaker. im wondering if its worth me in vesting in something to go at the end of the chain to just control big low or high spikes and level out the volume. from looking around im thinking that a sfx thumpinator at the end of my chain should stop the speaker over working and some sort of comp at the start to stop volume spikes coming from my playing i switch between fingers and pick and vary the attack alot. i want to keep the dynamics in my playing so not looking for crazy comp, would i be better of putting that in the effects loops? just looking to see ppls views. if theres and alternative to the sfx then please tell me also thinking of the xotic comp but suggestions welcome. andy
2. anyone interested in getting something together? on a weekend maybe? id be happy to bring all my rig and effects etc would struggle to find time to organize it on my own but will happily help? andy

5. Tom at cog is awesome, or if you dnt need to control levels could get the bigshot aby? Has phase switches and is pretty cheap
6. i can get a nice clean sound from the 1000 maybe have something to do with my set up and i must admit to changing the setting on my bass a fair bit. maybe try the head on a dif cab? andy

10.
Out of interest, how's that boogie flux you mentioned working out on bass? I'm tempted to pop down some cash on a Throttle Box, but a bit wary of low end loss as I'm playing a pretty low tuned 5er.
if anything it gives a tad more low end, sounds really nice and will handle the tuning as i tune drop d standard and drop c sounds awesome! and not sure shockwave how would i find out?
11. Still for sale
12. good condition can get picture at some point but its spent all its time on my pedal board being well looked after andy
13. got this on a whim but have since found that i use the mesa boogie flux drive over this, so gonna give it a new home comes with adaptor so it can run of a boss style 9v adaptor looking for 40 quid posted, but would trade for a nice reverb or delay, can add money to make up the dif. andy
14. id say check out the markbass and aggie stuff! but the bass terror is awesome have heard the combos are very nice and the cabs can defiantly keep up! but im just putting up with the wait of my 410 cos it sounds amazing! andy
15. Mesa flux drive is probs worth a look
16. if you want the sound of a tube pre as is said above wnt really get it with the lm tube, nice amp but very similar. love my terror bass but if you like the cleaner sound of markbass im gonna say thats probs not for you.
17. just a bump to see if any peeps have one of these? andy
18. my newish orange rig in full use! andy
19. i use a mesa flux drive, really well built pedal with a really nice grind but never gives you to much gain! 149 new but for the quality of pedal you are getting! well worth checking out andy
20.
You have a Modulus! What a cool looking/sounding bass they are!
Yep its awesome!
21. Honestly no its not to big at all if you like the sound of them, id have an 810 if i could afford one. And i help my drummer in with the kit, and our guitarist in with there 412 they can give me a lift for 2mins to bring my cab in plus the peg 810's have wheels so really arent bad at all. And you can still be too loud with a 112. Go with what you want id either look at a 610hlf as loz says but its not the same sound as an 810 but really try one out.
22.
Get a proper cab not a smart power one.
id go for the 410 if your dropping down from the 810 or even try changing one thing at a time, just trade the head for a tb1000 then you only have the cabs weight to worry about
23. Secondhand i think is what he means dude, i managed toget my rig secondhand for under the price of a new orange 410
