1.
Good man! I'm completely smitten with my recent BB414 purchase and makes me wish I'd bought a 1024 when I tried one last year when I had more spare cash. oh well....
I've had a 614 that's been my main squeeze for quite a few years now and I thought there is no point having another one, but I love the passive Bb's. The Mrs has paid for this one for a Xmas pressie so It'l be hidden away somewhere until Santa's been. I think I'l be up before the kids this year.
 2. So last week I had my eye on a Bb1024 on ebay, hovered over the buy it now a couple of times but talked myself out of it. It didn't sell and last night got re-listed 70 quid cheaper. Did I buy it I hear you ask? Fcuk Yeah!
 3.
Oh wow, I want to do the same with my BB415 now - it's a black one, but I'd love to throw a pickguard on there. I play with a pick too, so it makes absolute sense... do I just email them?
Just give them a ring 0844 8111116
 4. So I've had this Lexicon Alpha since last Christmas and its great for practicing on the laptop and noodling along to song's but.......... when i come to record myself playing along to said songage in order to assess my level of pants it all goes Pete Tong. Bass comes out in mono and the delay is annoying. I could live with it if i could accurately line them up afterwards but I'm struggling. Any help would be gratefully received. Steve

 8.
Spoke to yamaha UK, really helpful scots ady on service/spares. BB424x chrome control panel ex-stock, pickguard on 4 week delivery....parts inc vat n pnp, 39 quid......, not bad I paid 40 for a pattern pickguard for my fender! Bugger forgot to ask about screws!
Don't forget to post some pictures when its done, I'd love to see how it looks.
 9.
Actually I'd say it was more like 'If Ridley Scott's Alien played bass...' Not my cup of tea, but enjoy it!
You might get some puncture wounds out of it though Keep you in a job......
 10.
Anyone know where I can 'pickup' a pickguard for my broadbass 414....I tried thru a yamaha dealer as to buying a pickguard for a 424x but they couldn't get any joy from the yamaha importers. Cheers Ps my bb414 in metallic Orange is still with me and has seen many bass's come go, cracking tools!
Ruck bought some pickups direct from Yamaha, he emailed them through the website. Got to be worth a try, although I cant imagine why you would want to cover that lovely orange paint with a piece of plastic
 11.
I've not tried a Lindo instrument, but then I work for the emergency services...
+1 But probably better working for Lindo.
 12.
I've already sold the tuners from this bass.
Ah no worries,
 13. Sean, Neepheid is on the look out for a set of Yamaha tuners for his BB450 on the off chance your selling the originals.
 14.
Have a Hipshot D-tuner fitted to my BB1100S
I think Il have to go and look at them. There seems to be loads of different styles/fit.
 15. Has anyone fitted a de-tuner to their Bb? I'd like the easy "d" option on my 614 but I wouldn't know what to buy...
 16. This has been a great thread to follow, I'm glad your happy with your bass. Now how to we order replicas?
 17.
Well, my BB605 arrived yesterday, and what can I say........ Awesome! I was looking for a cheap but decent backup for my Sandberg, and I really couldn't find anything better for the money. It's been well used and there's a bit of a nasty deep scratch just above the upper horn, but its in great working order and the neck and fretboard is in great condition. I need to give it a good setup but its ace! I took it along to band practice last night, and I was amazed by how good it sounds, I'm certainly not worried about upgrading the pups at the moment. It sounds monster, especially when you get the frequency sweep pot just in the sweet spot between "clang" and "boom". It's actually a perfect sort of backup for my sandberg, I can get a fairly similar sort of tone and the neck feel isn't a million miles away. The other plus is that it's very light on the strap for a 5er. All in all, I'm a very happy boy! May try to post some pics when I can. Anyway, I'm off for a tinker!
Looking forward to the pic's man.
 18.
Here is a question im sure will spark an argument, in your opinions what is the best BB ever made?
You'l have to ask someone who has played them all...... Good luck
 19.
OK, it's a BBG5S, not 'N', my mistake. G.
I don't think anyone was looking at the pre-amp Geoff. Couldn't draw my eyes away from the humbucker's.
 20.
Have my recently resurrected BB450:
You are the savior of a nice bass there Matt, well done...
 21.
The Yammy pickups are a unique shape - luckily they are all the same size, so the pups from the RBX375 fitted the BBG5N exactly, replacing the single coils. I arranged a straight swap with another on this board. Although the originals look the same as the pups in the TRB, those in the 1005 have two coils, but one is a dummy and there's an adjustment coil with which you can balance the hum-bucking element, so you can get single coil sound with the benefit of hum cancelling. G.
I've always liked the tones from the RBXs but I don't think they look too pretty. I think what you have done with the BBN could make for a very versatile tool.
 22. Nice trio Geoff. Out of curiosity, did the humbuckers drop straight into the Bbn?
 23. I'd stick with the TRB, purely because I think we are spoilt for choice. It's taken alot of money and about a decade for me to discover that if you find a bass that works for you, you can create your own sound/ style. Rather than following trends.
 24. Matt has bought the other parts from Mikes Bb that I never got around to using. Nice and easy transaction. Deal with confidence.
