1. I'm in DY4. Next few weeks I'm in Wakefield and Derbyshire, not got anything planned in the south west but don't mind meeting halfway down the M5.
2. I bought this last year because I've always wanted a Ric style bass, and never had £1200 to spend. Unfortunately with a wedding to pay for this year I need to sell a few things, and this will be first to go. It's as new, not a mark on it, I've only played it a handful of times. The neck is wider than I'm used to (as I normally play Jazz and Soundgear) but it's thinner than an OLP MM2 I once had. I'd prefer not to post due to the set neck, but don't mind delivering within reason, and I'm often on the road for work so might be able to arrange something.
3. Ibanez Soundgear is the slimmest neck out there, my Jazz feels fat in comparisson
4. Amazing basses, lightweight and the slimmest necks, I'd buy it if I could afford another!
5. Would you be interested in my Deluxe Active Jazz, also upgraded with Badass II?
6. Now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120788454032
7. Turns out the reason they're 'cheap' compared to recent Fender prices is they're Made In China!
8. Love the look of the Tele, always liked the 72 Custom Tele, or whatever it's called, that looks like a decent bass version. Already considering selling my Deluxe Active Jazz to fund it!
9. Bump - no interest in a cheap effects pedal ideal for home practice?
10. Selling my Korg AX10B - good condition as only used at home for practice, I've since bought something else because I need a synth which is pretty much the only thing this lacks. Loads of amp types, effects and ambience settings, with wah/volume pedal. Had it powered on batteries and not changed them for at least a year (probably says more about how much I've used it than how long they last!). £45 posted in the original box. Can't remember if I've got the instructions but I'll print them off if I haven't.
11. Deep agressive pick tone at the start of this... minus the delayed copy in the background
12. Hi Joe, PM'd
13. That was on last night, I watched the first two hours and recorded the rest.
14. Got an iPhone? http://www.peavey.com/products/software/ampkitlink/ Got a PC? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-UCG102-U...k/dp/B000PAPO9W Got neither? http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~K...ck~ID~14913.asp Add these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-HD201-C...0077&sr=1-2 Sorted!
15. Can a moderator please move this to Bass Porn? Wow, if only I had £1250!!
16. I love the monorail bridges on my SR1000, are they suitable replacements to the stock one-piece bridge?
17.
We recorded there with Gavin Monaghan. Good times!
And me! Recorded an album there in 2003, then another with Andy Taylor when he went off on his own. Welcome to BC!
18. No love for Kim Deal? Simple bass lines often make for great songs.
19. At least it doesn't need a battery though, that would have really put me off. Actually they've done a really good job on that conversion, managing to fill the battery box cavity and refinish it!
20. I bought the Peavey version, Ampkit, then downloaded the Ampkit, Amplitube and Gallien Krueger software, and I have to say I found the GK software the best for plugging in and learning new songs, the others were overcomplicated and filled with guitar effects. Very happy with it!
21. I listen to a lot of old-punks-gone-country like Chuck Ragan and Tim Barry, but I don't like the cheesy stuff. I also play in an originals country band... www.myspace.com/liberationworksuk
22. I'll take the Pro15s please! Bought some Pro Subs a couple of months ago and never got round to buying the matching full range speakers!
23.
Hi, is this a US model?
These are Mex with USA pickups and electronics. Great quality though, really smooth finish on the neck. Not very keen on the preamp, the bridge pickup sounds really weak, I always wanted to put an East J-Deluxe in it, but bought a house last year and getting married next year so can't afford such luxuries anytime soon!
24. [s]Tempted to trade my Jazz, as I hardly play it and when I do end up playing the wrong notes because I'm so used to playing my 24 fret Ibanez (amazing how much difference it makes!). So... possible trades for a 4 or 5 string around the same value. Can't see any marks on it, always looked after it pretty well, all I've done is added a Bad Ass II because the original rattled a lot on the g string.[/s] Withdrawn - extra bit of cash next months means I can put a J-Retro in it and hopefully I'll play it a bit more then!
