2.
Alternatively some FX pedals can drive power amps to full power, which could work out much cheaper. Alex
EBS MicroBass II, SansAmp, etc? Maybe the MXR & Hartke VXL too, but I can't comment on those. Try the for sale forums here & here.
 3. Pickup height? Tried raising the D/G pup up?
 4.
Just imagine Fern Britton's endorsement, delivered straight to camera: "I've never come across another 1x15 cab that has pummelling low end, driving mids and just enough highs to cut through, yet weighs less than a 3-year-old girl. And it's so loud that Phil's ruptured something. This is a must-have for every gigging bassist."
"I can even lift it without bursting me stitches". My mate used to empty her bins when she lived down Pompey, you know. It was kosher - he was a bin man.
 5.
Funny you should mention this, as I bought a 3530 a little while back in an attempt to recreate Rob's bass tone. I spoke to him at a NoMeansNo gig once...
Me too, nice guy, nice bunch in fact. Bonkers, the bloody lot of 'em - met 'em at a Hansons gig recently. Sorry, OT.
 6. GB. But I can't affford that, so Spector.
 7. Rob Wright from Nomeansno / Hanson Brothers uses a 300 watt Marshall 3530 S/S head with a tube pre into a Marshall 4x12 guitar cab. He has a brutal sound. Then there's Lemmy...

 9. Just sold Tony a Bottom Feeder. Easy peasy, nice one Cyril.
 10.
PM'd
You too.
 11.
Amps mean nothing to me , tool for the job - I can hear the P unamplified so I'll swap my amp choice for Girl's Aloud thanks. I can use the lead to stop them wriggling too much.
Some hollowbody & an SVT stack for me. All electrics taken out & stuffed with lager.
 12.
Thanks for that sir - much appreciated. I'll have to see if GB pick up the phone now!
How did you get on John?
 13.
MB1. What does a bottom feeder do?
Good call. Will amend!
 14. Cracking fuzz pedal, love it, see here and Machines review here. New pedal forces sale. Some superficial white marks from velcro on underside, otherwise very good condition - box, manual, J-Lo's settings already printed out, plastic bag & tags. [s]£45[/s] £40 posted. Cheers, John.
 15. SOLD Bought the other week from a fellow BC'er, very well regarded envelope filter, just not my cup of tea I'm afraid. Very good condition, no box or manual though. £50 posted as I paid myself. Cheers, John.
 16. SOLD. As seen here, with [older] manual here. Box, current manual & plastic bag included, new battery will be installed prior to postage. No issues, taken to a couple of gigs but didn't make it out of the box, so used primarily at home since I got it in Oct '08. £180 posted, seem to be £250-odd new. Fantastic piece of kit, only selling to fund DHA GAS! Cheers, John.
 17.
34 seconds in. Now that is a funkface. Alex
When are you sending him the cab?
 18. Can't comment on the low B or many other decent cabs, but it must be as loud as me old Sunn 2x15. For what it's worth, I'm a right tight sod when things go above £500, but on the strength of one gig with a borrowed Big One, I ordered one. My reviews are here & here.
 19. I had an SB Elite I for 20-odd years until the weight and lack of forearm contour finally did for me. Bought for £375 in 1986, sold for £600 in 2004. Miss it for the sentimental value, but much prefer what I have now. Very tempted by one o' these though, very tempted indeed. Purely for sentimental reasons, y'understand.
 20. I'm a recent active convert - Spector [EMG's with Tone Pump] & KSD [unknown with EBS pre], +/- pre-EB 'Ray. I think they're great and they work really well for me in my bands. Not for everyone though, I guess. I like the increased volume, more bass & the way they drive me amp.
 21.
Just a quickie.
Wow. That would have taken me 18 months.
 22.
I got a Multi-comp, really happy with it, always on...Not tried the others though.
Me too. Far better [but admittedly a different beast] to the Boss LMB-3 though.
 23.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdWx0s_RKUs !
Like it. I hate to say it but I thought it was a Behringer T-shirt you had on at the beginning!
