6. Brilliant cabs, absolutely transparent uncoloured sound.
7. Yup Staggs and the Eastcoast derivatives can be bowed. Best sound seems to be with the Bass boost up slightly (not the case, I find with pizz, I wind it right off) i just use an old Ashdown Perfect 10 combo and it doesn't sound bad at all.
8. Oh dear........ Single Cut in Cocobolo..... Nurse, the screens!
9. I Bow mine and its actually not too bad, The gap on the strings is tighter but its possible and you sorta getta muscle memory in changing the bow angle - I just practiced open dtring for a while. As for sound, I found out when having a lesson, that turning up the bass boost works with the bow (not much use wither finger style, though) and a final thought, the noisy electronics seem to be affected buy energy saving light bulbs..........as you move away the noise reduces......
10. 3rd October Masterclass, anyone else going? I'll be the confused looking one......
11. Got the natrual finish one of these about three years ago. (Work in Cologne where these are from) Absolutely brilliant guitar! The neck is very slim, seventies Jazz-like and the gloss finish on mine superb. Action ridiculously low and thats as received. Sound holds its own against a Mex Fender. (I've got one) The price is great just for the neck; I'm horribly tempted to get another ..... recommended
12. I picked up my two Neo 12s from Marks place in the Netherlands and saw the proto of this.......... It will be amazing, this guy knows Bass.......................................................
13. This man knows his Gibbos! Excellent fellow to deal with, give him money!
14. Got one of these about three years ago in Germany, natrual finish. Ridiculously good guitar for the money - recommended!
15. Brilliant Ad! Got one of these but obviously not kissed but the Gods like this'un! GLWTS
16. Mine! All Mine! Hah ha! (Cosmo; first class geezer!)
17. Hmmmmmm, I dont need another TBird, but ..... ButI have a Squier VM sunburst fretless jazz that would need to be moved on to make space and retain some credibility/respect, etc............ have a bump
18.
I use a Perfect Ten mini rig and can plug a piezo (J tone) straight in with no pre amp and it sounds good. I use a BBE Acoustimax pre amp when going to the PA and when I was fiddling with it to get the sound I liked I realised it was exactly the same sound as just plugging the bass straight into the Ashdown, bass, mid and treble set to centre and the deep switch off gets a very nice clean representation of the acoustic bass, so plenty left to adjust tone to your liking.
Seconded I use a perfect 10 with my stagg and it sounds pretty good with the EUBs piezo pickup.... (Not the lightest of baby amps, tho............)
19. Absolutely agree with you Moos3h! I've got a natrual version of this, brilliant neck with really nice gloss blocked and bound finish! With the set up this will be a great deal for someone.........
