  1. Been many years since I posted my board, after going down to a barebone basics board. It’s still pretty much that...but a bit of an indulgent one. Line6 G30 -> Korg Pitchblack Pro Custom -> Darkglass Hyper Luminal -> Darkglass B7K -> Darkglass Alpha Omega -> ISP Decimator Only had the one rehearsal with the Hyper Luminal so far so still kind of getting to grips with it, but I liked what I got out of it from the settings in the photo.
  2. Also, the only difference between the old and new latch is the angle of the spring - perhaps this was the problem? I forced it back a bit with the screwdriver and doesn’t seem to be moving now.
  3. Thanks everyone. So, I took a chance with a screwdriver and a bit of brute force and managed to pop the latch up. Now that I've done that, whatever had made it stuck before isn't a problem now. The latch fully opens and closes again (albeit with a bit of stiffness as it's been like that for a few years, I was told) and the key locks and unlocks fine. And now I've got a spare latch if it ever breaks again
  4. Managed to grab one of these cases for a great price used due to the lock being faulty. The key turns but the latch doesn’t disengage from the base. I contacted Hiscox and two days later I’ve got a brand new shiny latch to replace it with. The only problem is that where the current latch doesn’t disengage, I’m not able to access the rivets on the base to drill to swap them over. I’m not overly handy to be honest, and I don’t want to brute force it in case I do more damage. I've attached a couple of pics to hopefully show the problem. Anyone able to give me some advice about getting this old latch off?
  5. Bought a few patch leads from Mike, great friendly comms, quick postage, recommended to all.

  7. If you decide postage is an option, I’d snap this up. GLWTS.
  8. In good condition, other than being a bit dusty. Soft case in good condition too, and includes the shoulder strap. I pinched one of the Velcro strips for my new board, if you’re OCD about it I’ll pinch the other one too. Collection from Southend preferred but I *might* have the original box for shipping at cost (if you’d need shipping, let me know and I’ll dig through the wardrobe for the box).
  9. Bought a set of straplocks from Paul, nice hassle free transaction and fast postage. Cheers.
  10. Bought Pat’s Darkglass Alpha Omega. Great communication, easy to deal with and smooth transaction. Shipped and delivered when promised
  11. Still searching for a lone Line6 G30 transmitter if anyone has one laying about.

  14. I see lots of recommendations for rosewood boards, what about maple?
  15. Cheers for the reply, got some good stuff to go on from that. I like what I've heard online with a B7K and Alpha Omega paired together, but definitely (and my wallet will testify) not glued to adding another Darkglass pedal so am open to other options too.
  16. LTD and Epiphone LP in Drop A# and Drop C respectively. He runs through a Kemper with a driven EVH and TubeScreamer tone.
  17. My Darkglass B7K handles my always-on tone but as we’ve gone from two guitarists to one in recent years, I sometimes wish there was something “more” when it drops down to just me or the guitar is playing higher stuff. I really like the idea of dialling the overdrive on the B7K down a little bit and adding in a separate distortion but I’ve been off the pedal scene for ages now and not sure what’s worth looking at. Another Darkglass; Alpha Omega/Omicron/Microtubes? Or is there something else that pairs well with the B7K? Ballpark tone reference: Vman of Slipknot (Birth of the Cruel), Ali Dean of Architects.
  18. Treated myself to the Darkglass plugin around Black Friday and only got round to testing it the other day. I noticed a lot of latency with the standalone app but none going through Logic which I found strange. My interface (Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen) is currently plugged in to an Apple LED Cinema Display, I’ll try going straight in to the laptop and see if that makes a difference. If not, I’ll contact their support.
  19. Is this stand “as is” or does it fold down to make it easier to chuck in the boot/carry? EDIT: Also, I’m thinking it would, but double checking that a Thunderbird would be okay resting on it as well? Was after a double Hercules grab-type stand but if this works...
