1. It's the leaping around. That's where you're going wrong. I try and stand as motionless as possible on stage. Like the Ox. I usually gig in a t-shirt AND jumper. That's how cool I am. I'm the motherf***in' Iceman of bass!
 2. I went out in Stoke once. Full of slags. My kinda town.
 3. All this talk of a sweaty AM1 is kinda turning me on.
 4. I hate people using the term "cats" when describing non-felines. Also, the propensity to use the term "NYC" rather than New York or New York City. Jan Hammer likes to slip a "NYC" in every column he writes for BGM. "Shedding" is another one I hate. It sounds like the type of thing you'd do in a "Cottage" on Hampstead Heath. Obviously, anyone using the term "Dawg" should be shot in the face. Also, I agree with Rich about "chops". ...and I know I've said this before, but why do bass journalists have to keep writing "dial in a passable Marcus/Jaco/Clarke impersonation"?? If I wanted to "dial in" I'd get a job down the GPO. Kids huh?!
 5.
4 grand is a massive sum of cash, there is a lot of people at the moment who would kill for that sort of money!
The Albanian's will do it for slightly less.
 6.
Then it probably something you could take up with me via PM instead of jumping in on the thread in a very public and unwelcome manner.
Sorry. Well you know now. Glad I could be of assistance.
 7.
Oh wait let me see, is the real reason you're having a go me THIS time Beefy, because you think I've been seduced by the big names? Hmm and let me guess, the next question you're probably thinking of asking is what I got in exchange for what you may consider to be free advertising? Assuming that its any of your business (not that it is) I didn't get anything out of it and I paid for my own airfare over there.
Have you been drinking cough medicine again CK? Why would I object to you talking positively about a luthier? Just because you're a mod, you can still have an opinion and still talk about an experience, free advertising or not. I think it's safe to say you haven't been "seduced my the big time" quite yet (unless you were there to discuss the CrazyKiwi Signature model?). You've somehow come to this conclusion, and for some reason people have taken it as fact. My issue with your ammended post is far more superficial. I quoted your original post, wrote a longish reply, and then before I hit "add reply" your post had been heavily edited. As there is no "this post has been edited tag", to the uninitiated it looks like I'm either miss quoting you, or quoting a different thread. It also seems a bit inconsistent. When I write something that makes me look like a twat, I either have to suffer it or make a climb down by editing my post for the world to see. The mods can retrospectively change their posts without anyone knowing. That's why its important dood. It's not the first time you've done this, so do as you wish. All I can do is ask for the mods to play by the same rules as us as often as possible, which I did in my post. Your assumption was interesting though. For the record, apart from that minor point, I thought it was an interesting post. Personally I wasn't aware that there had been some customer service issue in the past. Never been a fan of Jazz updates really though.
 8. I had a dream about AM1 last night. Nothing sexual you understand?
 9. Every time I see the this thread title, I think it says "The annoyance of Prince Charming". And I agree. Smug bastard.
 10.
Anyway its not about profit, but getting the true value for this fine bass.
Ahh, of course!
 11.
I love horses. They're the best of animals.
Never trusted horses. Females obsession with them unerves me.
 12.
Pot, Kettle anyone?
Racist.
 13.
I just love the hilarious comments we get in here.
So do we.
 14. Always sad when people say things like "but I have now finished with music and gigging so this is why I am selling."
 15.
No more penis references please.
Agreed, and for the record, my comment was made in jest to illustrate a point. I'm actually what's described as "hung".
 16. I built a guitar in a day once. I'll have to put some pictures up.
 17.
Oh, so the number of strings you've got is directly proportional to how good a musician you are? I thought it was only related to how small your penis is.
I read ARGH's post slightly differently. I think its more a dig at people's attitude than ability. ...and my penis is tiny, but I hate anything above a 4 string. Work that one out.
 18.
Last night i was shown a great tip on 'Cleaning' with WD40
So that's what Ali Campbell is up to these days.
 19. Manring! Man-ring! As in a man's ring (piece)! Gedditt?? Funny ain't it! Carry on.
 20. "Creative Arts Magazines"? Is that what you call them? Surely you should hand them down to you son in time honoured tradition? Or has the missus rumbled them?
 21.
I was at Mewsie's house the other evening

 22.
I'll swap my amp choice for Girl's Aloud thanks. I can use the lead to stop them wriggling too much.
I like the wriggling.
 23. What about one of these: http://www.imuso.co.uk/ProductDetail.asp?StockCode=EG00795 Never played one mind, but told they can do a passable precision? Or, Beedster (who knows a thing or 2 about Precisions) said the best P sound he has heard from a non P was from a Shergold. Might be worth trying to pick up an old Modulator or something?
