1. Certainly is JD1. I find the whole album outstanding.
2. Yawn! You jokers, I knew I'd get this. I'm just thinking about it, don't crucify my just yet! Unless you want to lend me the best part of £5k ?? Come on, help me out! Paul - trying to guage how serious you are. How did it turn out?
3. Just to annoy you, I would have thought!
4. Hello all, Say I wanted, oh, I don't know, a Sting signature Fender reliced - to whom should I go? I know Bravewood no longer does it. I've seen the tutorials of "do it yourself" which I may do if I can't find anyone. Any thoughts? Mike
5. Thanks Alun! Much obliged. What a fantastic album - still enjoying it!
6. Glad to hear it Steve.
7. Thanks for sharing your (terrible) experience!
8. They certainly won't be with that attitude, Steve! Let me do the negotiating, yep?
9. Ace, count me in, £5 via paypal be okay? Might come in handy if anyone ever forces Basschat to close a la Basstalk! A sort of bargaining chip, nay?
10. I downloaded "Live" and "5 Seasons" for free from his website after a tip-off here. What a guy!
11. Thanks for the responses guys. I'm liking them. The Sting really has no application in my live groups - I just am a huge fan of those basses, perfect for a blues jam I guess! Re. Fatfinger - I think I notice something but not enough to seriously claim it made a huge difference. It seems to stop the classic fender dead spot but that never bothered me anyway. If anyone wants to buy it, PM me! £23.95 - I'll do it for £15 shipped.
12. I'm just listening to this album, and it's mind-bendingly good. Is LC touring in the UK anytime soon? Can't access his Myspace and his Official Site seems to have no word. What a musician & composer !!
13. Super stuff. Love it! Prefer the look of the 5 to the 4 in this case.
14. Hi guys - I've refrained from posting a thread in this forum yet as I want to wait for a custom Shuker I have on order to do a Family shot - but here are two relatively new arrivals to my collection. Here is a Fender Sting Sig - with custom PG, and a Seymour Duncan upgraded pickup. Here is a fabulous Warwick Streamer Stage I, with aero pickups and East preamp. Sounds huge! Enjoy! Mike Actually, for posterity, here are some others I have: 75 Jazz 68 Jazz (defretted, EMGs, ebony board) 84 Ibanez Musician
15.
Mike, is that you at the Bass Center?
Sure is. Chuck had time for everybody. Legend! I think I should leave it to someone else to explain the PJB thing - don't want to get it wrong!
16. I'd also point out that if Chuck ever returns to these shores, do make an effort to see him, very entertaining!
17. Fascinating article. And made for Kevin, too - that P he made looks just like the one this guy Kevin Lindsay has: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endid=102202793 Who also owns a few nice Seis (he was good enough to give me info on Nordy fatstacks for my custom build). It's amazing, the relicing looks almost identical, but this one on myspace is labelled a 56 Fender P.
18. Try Andy Rourke, from his "The Smiths" days.
19. Ari, found this Atelier in action - sounds great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYkmCjCAUgA...ted&search= Who could say no to that?
20. Steve, why? Why do you torment me so?
21. That's a shame, he's endorsing me!
