1. Nice. Don't forget your ER-20s !!
2. Trades only? Or do you have a price in mind?
3. I thought the London gig I was at was the only UK one this year! Thanks for the heads up.
4. Wow - exciting. We're knee-deep in Shukers. I worry that when I get mine, I'll start to plan number two. Eek. Anyway, sounds great. Think those pickups will be A1. Regards Mike

Remember the pickup placement would be different - 70s Vs 60s - as well as other small aesthetic differences.
6. Okay guys, we need a surveillance team on Chris, 24/7!
7. Yeah, that's madness. I get about £70 - £100 for each gig I play but I would do it if I was not being paid at all. The money is just a fantastic bonus.
8. Supergrass star in freak accident Danny and Gaz from Supergrass wished Quinn a speedy recovery Supergrass have been forced to put all plans on hold because band member Mick Quinn has broken his back. The bass player and vocalist sleepwalked out of a first floor window of the villa where he was staying in the South of France. Quinn was rushed to a specialist spinal unit in Toulouse where surgeons operated to repair two broken vertebrae as well as a smashed heel. He is expected to make a full recovery, although it could take several months. As a result, their one-off homecoming show at the Oxford Carling Academy on 23rd September has been postponed. Supergrass were having a summer break, having completed their sixth album. The record is expected to be released in the New Year. Frontman Gaz Coombes said: "We hope the crazy fool gets back on his feet as soon as possible. I'm sure he'll make a full recovery; he's a tough cookie." The Oxford show will be rescheduled, although no date has been set. Ticket holders can apply to the vendor for a refund and will be given first refusal on tickets for the re-scheduled show. 9.
All part of my quest to get the most PUPs between bridge and neck Mike. OK, I was pissed when I sent the reply last night and luckily GMajor didn't reply. I'm now sober and probably off the hook Chris PS thanks for your ebay message last week
You're most welcome. So, Western Union not accepted? Most gracious and honourable thanks! Bump for the threadstarter as I feel I possibly ruined his thread! Just looking out for you, C-Dog!
10. I used to play in a blues band with a drummer who had worked and gone on the road with Phil Collins, among others. He was also resident drummer for the BBC for years.
11. Chris, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Stand back lads, I think we've lost him!
12.
Cheers Mike I decided on blue LED's in the end, they seemed to be the most popular by consensus. I'm surprised by the lack of pics of your build, it could be that it's at a stage where pics aren't possible (at sims having LED work done possibly?) I feel your pain my friend, I just try to forget about it as much as is humanly possible (difficult though) Hope you hear something soon mate Pete
Hi - pickups finally arrived! Looks like you're ahead of me - shame I started months before you !!!!
13. Finally, pickups arrived. Might see some progress soon, I hope so!

15. That looks really nice! I'm sure at that price it'll be snapped up asap.
16.
Do we chase gear too much ?
Gear? Where? Where did it go?
17. Very interesting, cheers Ped and co for all the work! Mike
18. Interesting, I was under the impression Sting left Last Exit voluntarily to go to London. Incidentally, I shared a few beers with the gent who replaced Sting as the bassist in Last Exit in a pub in Scarborough!
19. And to answer the question, I always leave satisfied from the Bass Merchant. Even if he hasn't got a bass in I'm after, we still have a great chat and he always has time for me. He also gave me a tour around the workshop - extremely interesting!
20. Mike Walsh at the Bass Merchant (makes Iceni Zoot basses) is based in Witham, Essex (CM7). He will endeavour to get what you're after, he's got a superb high end selection of amps, cabs and combos (Markbass, EBS, Ampeg etc) and a fair selection of basses - recently he sold me a superb Warwick Streamer Stage 1 5 string w/ Aero pups & East pre at a very reasonable price! WELL WORTH A VISIT! In my experience he can pretty much beat any price. He gave me great deals on MB gear.
21. I saw it but wasn't really interested. It was quite a quick auction, if I recall.
