1. Hell yeah! My favourite band, with one of my favourite tracks. Great all round - glad to see it's in the mag.
2.
If the serial number's genuine, it's about 1975. Three-bolt microwobble neck fixing came in in 73 - are there reissues with that on?
My 75 Jazz with three bolt microtilt is as secure as a house. Gigged with it for the last few years, with pas de problemes!
3. Yep, very early. I'm up to drive my wife to the station. Zzzz!
4. Hello again Zoe. You're like a salmon finally reaching her breeding destination*. Watch out for the bears! Regards Mike *Don't take this too literally
5.
Sue 'em.
Well, I gave Napper permission to use it ages ago, but he's not there anymore...
6. Zoe, I remember you from BW - good to see you here. Took your time!
7. Is anyone able to shed light on this, or is it an in-joke to which I'm not party?
8. Still no rosewood 70s jazz neck with pearl blocks? Tut! Let me know if you can get hold of one - late sixties would also be fine, especially 68!
9. Yeah, not always the cheapest but service has always been good to me - great selection of high class basses too! +1 for Alex.

11. Thanks everyone! I'm going to move this to bass porn - with a pic of the leds too.
12. Do you mean the small "one hand" one at the top ? If so not sure - maybe for hanging the bag up on something? Or for someone else to hold if you're a weakling?
13. Can you post a close up picture of the A string at the nut? If it's not bending down after going over the nut it will rattle. You can bend it yourself, or wind the string better on the peg - ie. ending up at the bottom of the peg.
14. Well, the attraction for me was getting a jazz built exactly as I wanted it, for a reasonable price. The quality of workmanship is topnotch - as you'd expect, in fairness, with a custom build. The bass I received the other day is simply letting me communicate my musical ideas for more easily than other basses I have. I highly recommend you try one if you can! If you're ever in Essex let me know!
15.
bummer... I blew my bass budget 2 weeks ago... got a new Squier VMJ... should have waited and picked this one up off you instead for just a bit more... I still have enough money for yours, but currently it's "allocated" for if my car fails the MOT next month... any left is allocated for this winter's boat maintenance sorry I can't help you out... I'd love the bass, but daren't risk spending the money...
If only all Basschatters were this sensible... ..We'd have to shut down the for sale forums!
16. Super pics! What an amazing finish!
17. There was someone after this recently, I've PM'd him to that effect.
18.
Best of luck Warwick mate, Im only a bit jealous. I will teach you The Real Me if ya fancy a trip to Essex!!
Another one from Chelmsford! Whereabouts?
19. She's for keeps, I think. Might trade for hags/crones or similar.
20. Thanks for all your positive comments guys....gigged it last night. Sat really well in the mix - I know thats a cliche, but it did - sounded really rounded and tight, even open bottom Es - I struggled a tiny bit with the brightness - brand new strings and powerful EQ contributed to that but I got it under control. For some P bass numbers I soloed the front pickup and it sounded lovely. Still delighted!
21.
Err.. point ?
Just call me Beedster
