1. goodness!! just buy these three and stick them on a Pedaltrain and your sorted for an amazing pedalboard! Wish I had the cash for the Cog and id never noticed the Mobius till now!! awesome multi effect
2. I can't quantify it! but the older non true bypass EBS pedals just seemed to sound better to me. They do have a very slight boost when engaged, but that can work well in certain situations. Ive avoided the studio editions as i feel EBS pedals have gradually got cheaper looking/feeling over the years as the company got bigger (and i am a major EBS fan and have owned most of their pedals several times over and used their amps for years) ive never tried the SE versions so can't comment on sound
3. Please try the Octabass gents! I think it'll tick a lot of boxes. Its always been a favourite of mine, ive had two, the original black label (not the first grey pedals) and a later true bypass "improved" version. Both tracked extremely well and have a great clean octave tone, with a lot of variety with the range switch
4. Cool pedal!!
5. in the past I've used many high end cables for instruments and speakers (Monster/Evidence Audio/Zaolla) and i can tell the difference in tone (I did really like the Zaolla but it went intermittent ans I had to stop using it). For a few years now, I use exclusively OBBM ' S rockwire for bass cables/patch leads and speaker cable! I'm very happy with them, sounds great and not daft money
6. Lovely! ! If I'd seen this a couple of weeks ago id have had your arm off

9.
@lee650 Nice!
cheers Al, quite happy for the time being
10. i believe the Cog TK421X is RAT based and gas a clean blend! ! its discontinued though, but a mk2 is on the cards
11. The latest version of my board! recently sold a bass so had a bit of cash to splash on the board. I added a couple of new pedals and finally upgraded to a cioks DC5. my chain as follows Cali 76 CB into a Boss Ls2 set to A/B/Bypass (the cali works on every channel) bypass channel - goes into TC Polytune mini straight to amp as my clean channel. channel A - 3 leaf Wonderlove with Cog T65 in the effects loop. The T65 has a 3 leaf your doom in its effects loop. This allows me to use the parallel octave and preserve the dynamic nature of the you're Doom while octave/fuzz are in the wonderlove loop, so the dynamics of that are not affected. This is my Synth channel Channel B - this is my dirt channel with a Cog Knightfall always on and switchable with the ls2. I also have the phase 90 and EBS unichorus when I want modulation (will turn off knightfall) and by switching the LS2 into Bypass A/B mix mode I can blend the modulation wirh the synth channel when required, or use a clean blend with the knightfall. dead chuffed with this setup and it's working well, so I think I'll leave it, although I may just have room for a TC sub n up mini or a cog T16 for clean octave
12. I recently replaced a very old Badass 2 on my JV Jazz with a Hipshot Kickass and i'm very happy! it has the same look, albeit the saddles look more modern and sturdy. it has fantastic adjustability, and it definitely adds presence and depth to the tone (IMO). it actually improves the look as the ball ends are recessed into the tailpeice, it is a heavy bridge though an adds significantly to the weight. I also have a Fender Nate Mendel P that has been modded with a BBOT bridge and has flats, as i'm going to be changing to rounds on this bass, i'm seriously considering putting a kickass on this too. I have always felt that a badass didn't look as good on a P bass, but the Kickass/badass design is a fairly classic look these days, and i definitely think a better bridge improves the tone bit sick i missed this!, i,ve had a wanted ad up for a couple of weeks too, it does look nice on a P actually http://basschat.co.uk/topic/314782-sold-hipshot-kickass-4-string-bridge-chrome/
13. Mine has exactly the same mods (aguilar pickup) and sounds awesome with flats!!
14.
Bearfoot Blueberry. Mods can now close the thread.
yeah that's on my Christmas list theres a Hookers Green bass machine on here, isn't it supposed to sound close to the blueberry??
15. Sub n up mini, will definitely be my next purchase
16. I've had the EHX BSF and it works well for that kind of sound, however I didn't care for the high mid tonality it added. I also had A VT bass, which I struggled with when setting the gain higher for drive as the volume jumped far too much (sounded amazing as a clean preamp though, so ill get another) I'm currently using a COG Knightfall the old version without the clean blend, it sounds fantastic when the gain is set low and reacts to your volume (the harder you play, the more it breaks up) it also can get quite heavy if needed, it's called a Distortion, but it's more like an OD.
17. I notice from the Iron Ether site that the Subterranea is no longer available Is the FMeron a succesor/evolution of that pedal or am I right in thinking that owning both would cover most analogue and digital tones? i really want the FM but i won't have £250 spare anytime soon (especially as I've recently spent £400 ish on pedals/power supplies and new patch cables, money from a bass sale!) P's I love your demos Mr Rizer
18. Ooh I bet that'll cost ya!! I want one! A Subterranea too

cioks DC5

I went with the Cioks,so it would fit underneath! A cheaper alternative would be the Fame one, which appears to be similar to the Cioks. Its to big to fit under neath a Nano though
20. Ripper sold!! Diago still available
21. I'm here and missing it all
22. I actually have a gear 4 music keyboard bag, that i keep my amp in. Im not at home at the moment, but it's much better quality and well padded,so ill try it when I get home. I think it'll be slightly too big for mine, for a junior it may work. It's on gear 4 music's website for £25 check out the dimensions. I think it's very short sighted of Pedaltrain, not to offer hard/soft cases as an alternate! Otherwise I'd purchase the hardcase. There is a company called castle that do flight cases to fit metros, but i don't want something that heavy duty.
23. Hi Everyone I currently have a Pedaltrain Metro 20, now I'm very unimpressed with the quality of the soft case that came with it (kicking myself for not buying the hardcase version). As the number of pedals I have on the board has grown and has a large number of expensive pedals, I'm concerned the soft case won't give enough protection. I much prefer the portability of a soft case, so has anyone used an alternative soft case with a lot more padding/waterproof. Ive been looking at the rockbag pedal bags and they look ideal, has anyone used one? cheers
24.
All these EBS pedals are the same size, I think the MXR pedals are ‘slimmer’.
Yeah you're right!! I was hoping they had shrunk them a bit very tempted but spent too much this month!
