  1. I can well believe that - to my ears, the '85 olive ash Wal I all too briefly owned direct to desk via XLR was both my favourite tone and one with zero noise - amazing electronics!
  2. Brilliant Trevor! Our tech guy is a legend, he thinks my Bruce Thomas Profile through a SansAmp VT 'SVT' setting is the best bass tone he's had in the worship room and cranks it up. You almost don't need a monitor!
  3. I'd absolutely love to do gospel sets - for one thing I'd have a stone-cold excuse to get a Ken Smith 5 again! I suspect gospel players are never told 'sit this out until the chorus, and don't go North of the 5th fret'
  4. 'Overplay' in Worship bass can mean 'more than one note per bar' or even 'any note per verse'! Just have to enjoy the song and from a technique perspective, think of it as good timing and sustain practice.
  5. Stage setup is (something like) bass->DI->desk mic preamp->mixer->foldback/IEMs. Assuming a digital mixer then it is likely to have a decent DAC, and the mixer may be sending you a bass-heavy monitor mix which differs from the front of house mix (and/or you may have your bass amp as an additional monitor). So that contributes to a fine venue sound. As @Richard R says above, YouTube compresses heavily and audio degrades with reduced video quality. Also the DAC and headphone amp of the average computer are pretty basic which further affects the audio. Unfortunately most parishioners won't have a Focusrite or similar DAW with a decent set of cans :( Certainly worth checking with the sound team and seeing what they can do with EQ to help you in the mix :) On another note, had my first recorded session (four songs) at church last night - look forward to hearing the results. Due to some last minute key changes I was delving lower on the 5-string than normal and that typically does not come through well on the livestream. And having practiced all the songs in faster/upbeat mode they were performed as slow/quiet...still, good to challenge the timings and note feel. And when asked to sit out for the first two verses I simply play them but with the tuner mute on to keep in the game!
  6. Now that surprises me Karl - I thought you loved all the greens! Or this bluer than my monitor is showing...in any event I think it looks great and I bet that's a fast neck. GLWTS!
  7. If you are tuning B E A D then I do not see the problem, although the nut slots are likely to be too small as they will be cut for E A D G gauges. You will probably need to adjust the truss rod to account for a different string tension. A cheap way to try us buy a single B string and give it a go.
  8. If anyone wants this but can't collect, let me know - I can get a box from our local lockup storage warehouse.
  9. sfx micro thumpinator £85 inc. UK postage. Used and in full working condition, cosmetically very good (small mark under T of logo, see pic). 31Hz high-pass filter that takes up little room on your board. Payment by BACS or PayPal Friends and Family. My feedback link is here: Cheers! Kev
  10. TC Ditto Looper, £50 inc. UK postage. Mint condition with manual and box. Really easy to use and won't take up much space! Payment by BACS or Paypal Friends and Family. My feedback link: Cheers! Kev
  11. Hi there - it's 8ohm. Here's the greenboy design spec: http://greenboy.us/cabs/view.php?model=FEARLESS F112
  12. Sold Chris a compressor: a very easy and pleasant transaction with rapid payment and communications. Many thanks Chris!
  13. Gorgeous!! It was this video of a similar MK 5 that made me import the MK 4 that I owned all too briefly: GLWTS Goran!
  14. Basschat Fantasy Premier League code is: ww1o97

    See you there!

  15. Just sold Paul a Moollon P and Noble pre, another very easy and friendly transaction! Cheers Paul and enjoy the latest addition to the Precision family
  16. An excellent head, used mine through 1x15s, 2x10s and the F112 and loved it each time. Really easy to dial-in a great range of tones on-the-fly in a gig. The locking lead is shipped with it, but, it is hard-wired to a US plug. Never had problems with my standard UK kettle lead which is a nice snug fit. GLWTS, bargain price!
  17. Hi there - just weighed mine using the 'weigh yourself on the scales and then pick up the cab' method and it came out at 17kg. The options are fixed for Fearless cabs (same speakers and hardware) so I assume the variants are wood and the duratex paint. The logo appears to be glued on, I'm not sure if it's removable. Cheers Kev
  18. For sale only, greenboy Fearless F112 £600 NOW £500 collected An outstanding one-cab solution, beautifully built last year by Guy at Tricky Audio (my second greenboy cab from him): with Eminence Kappalite LF neodymium 12", a 5" FaitalPro midrange driver, and the highs are widely dispersed by a B&C horn with a Faital Pro 1" compression driver bolted on. Read Ed Friedland's glowing review here: https://www.guitarworld.com/reviews/greenboy-audio-fearless-f112-cabinet Dimensions: 51 x 41 x 41 cm weight 17kg , with a very strong recessed handle for one-handed carrying. Gutted to have to put this up for sale but needs must! Fantastic cab that has served me very well for many styles (and basses). Collection only for now but I'll see if I can source a box.
