1.
on my android phone, I've no longer got the mobile version of the site. I can click away on the 'use mobile version' button forever and I still get the mini version of the computer based site. Gosh darn it! Is it just me...?
No, it's the site, not you. There are a couple (maybe more) of threads on the topic e.g. this one.
 2. It's a photo posted by max in the SFX thread. My guess is that it's a photo of yours before he sent it out.
 3.
I'm probably going to place an order from WTFaccessories shortly, and they also have a discount code that is especially effect if you buy 2+ pedals together using their bundle deal.
I hadn't looked at the bundles before but this one is particularly effective: http://www.wtfaccessories.com/bundle-4pcs-joyo-pedals-jf-01-jf-39.html Just to try it, I put together a sample order and the mooers came out at just under £23 per pedal .... provided you wanted 4. At that price, if you took a risk on something, I'd say there's a fair chance of flipping an unwanted pedal on eBay and recovering all your costs
 4. To extend the metaphor, I don't really have problem with the shops being in the alleyway (I completely understand that motivation is revenue to be fed into basschat improvements) but I am bothered about the transition where I need to visit the alleyway AND the high street, doubling my shopping time. But I also appreciate the point about integration.
 5. Ped, I'm pretty sure you don't understand my source of frustration with the current transitional system, so I'll spell it out. As a buyer, say I spend 30 minutes per day on the forum market place. In the present transitional phase that means I then have to spend another 30 minutes repeating my searches in the new classifieds section, and i need to do this because, in the absence of any recommendations from basschat mods, I can't predict whether sellers are going to post only in classfieds, only on the marketplace (forums) or both. Being absolutely clear, the absence of a Basschat policy for sellers is doubling the amount of time I, and I presume every other buyer on basschat, is having to spend on the site. That was what was behind my questions. But rather than asking you again to answer them, why don't I get straight to it and make my own RECOMMENDATION Sellers, please make sure that if you post an advert in the new classifieds, that you also post at the least a link to your classified in the old marketplace. An informative title plus a link is all that's necessary, to save all the potential buyers have to spend time searching both classifieds and market place (forums) in the transitional phase. End of Recommendation That's a personal recommendation as it stands, but I'd be more than happy for basschat to adopt it, or something else that fullfils the same needs. Thanks to anyone already doing this and thanks in advance to anyone who starts doing it having read this post. Andy
 6. Sorry, Ped, you didn't answer a single one of my questions. 'Or what ?' Doesn't count as a question but I'd like to know about the others.
 7.
The plan is to use it for a month (from full completion) and then have a feedback sesh. Look forward to hearing opinions then,
I'm slightly confused about what we're supposed to do as buyers and sellers. As buyers do we have to look in both places now ? I mean, are sellers being asked to post in both the forum and the classifieds ? Can I rely on finding any given for-sale item in the forums when I search ? Or is there a recommendation to use classifieds only from now on ? Or ... what exactly ?
 8. If you take a look at the Mooer Audio site, 8 of those new pedals are marked as 'coming soon' which lends support to my idea that sites were advertising them when Mooer were not ready to supply them. That might be Mooer to blame or the advertiser, hard to say.
 9.
Likewise. Fuming. Disgusting customer service!

Looks like I'm not getting mine now :-( a week after ordering I'm told its not in stock :-(
You guys both ordered one of the 'new' pedals right ? I have a suspicion (and I could be wrong 'cos I'm not going to search every forum to prove it) that in a lot of cases they were advertised when no stock was actually available. Marcmart suddenly withdrew the whole bunch of new pedals one day. I know some of the new pedals have been delivered, but an awful lot of people are getting emails saying 'wait till December 15th'. I think they were never actually available.
 10. Hope no-one minds me asking this here.... There was a bit of marketing hoo-hah earlier this year when fender announced that all the new Am. Stds would have 'Custom Shop Vintage 60's pickups'. Anyone know if this was just marketing or if the pickups became more old-school in tone ? Or, indeed, would a modern (I gather they got a lot better around 2008) Am. Std P have what's considered an old-school tone anyway without the alleged pickup tweak ? Yeah, I know, I should go out and play one ....
 11.
Just finished my 'bits P' bass. Basically I was auditioning for a rpck band and needed something with frets, so I popped into my manshed and came up with this: It is nice.
Very cool. I'll have a 5-string version please
 12.
Hmmmm ... my first impression is: Solution in search of a problem. I rather like the way the current forum allows completely free-form description (which often tells you a lot about the vendor) and actively encourages "conversation" between vendor and prospective buyers. I suspect this new approach will stifle both of these.
+1
 13.
a little "official" rather than the "mates in a pub type" set up currently.
Yeah, I see this as a downside, unfortunately. I think I will miss the banter, particularly the 'I've got one of those'/'I've always gassed for one of those'/'have a bump on me' variety. Unless people start using the 'questions' for that kind of chat of course
 14.
Lack of control over the voices on harmony mode (Pure Octave on the way already!), and I just plain don't like the tone of the pitch-shift mode.
Interested to know what you make of the Pure Octave, then.
 15.
If you had two amps to choose from, one with two swept mids and hi and low shelving or peaking EQ, the second with a 10 band graphic, if all else was equal which would you choose?
For me, swept mids hands down. Having had a semi-para single band mid pedal for a while, I'm used to the difference between boosting at 600 versus 400. To replicate that with a graphic I'd want 1/2 octave bands from 30 to 1khz ( 11 bands) plus shelving highs. Whereas actually a 3 (or possibly 2) band semi-para (plus shelving highs) would probably completely fulfil my needs as a bass player.
 16.
New Blog Post up on Equalisation Enjoy....
Nice. I find the practical advice on which knob to twiddle first particularly useful. I bought a fully parametric EQ pedal a while back, and while I know what each of the knobs does, the combinations of the 3 variables was just too much and I never found it did anything useful for me. I will now tackle it again.
 17.
Pitch Box. Not very good in my opinion! Put it straight up on ebay!!!
What was the problem ? (I can guess, but .... )
 18. It's a bit more than scrambled menus ... crazy empty boxes all over the place, displacing real content, whenever you look at lists of threads (e.g. my latest content, forum home). Once you're in a thread ... all looks normal.
 19. Not sure if it's supposed to be fixed right now, but, though it's working, it's looking a bit ropey on iPhone ... need to scroll left and right to read anything. I guess it's still being worked on ....
 20.
Just received am email saying the sweeper and fog are out of stock, should be available again in December.
Probably explains why the new ones all disappeared from the search results.
 21.
Is there anyway you could mod the delay pedal to make it a tap tempo?

Somebody on TB opened up one of the analog pedals and talked about modding. In particular, changing a resistor value. He concluded that because they're all tiny (SMD ?) components, modding would be pretty difficult. I would guess the same applies to the digital pedals. (Not sure which delay you mean, I think there are 4 now).
Hmm, I may have to backtrack on that, the only post I can find suggests that though they are all tiny components, the particular mod this guy wanted to do was thought possible. Here are some pics of mooer pedal internals to give you an idea about the component size.
