1.
I think there should be a missile launch style red flap over that socket.
I am itching to use it, but have to wait for the Barefaced vintage to do it
 2. When i start gigging seriously again i want to put together some sort of contract, that if anyone wants to use my gear and something goes wrong with it whilst they are playing with it that i am legally entitled to be compensated. Dont suppose anyone else has this sort of contract? (I dont want a Ampeg or Barefaced destroyed and the other guy running off) If they dont want to sign it then tough. In reference to the OP, i always ring ahead of time to see whats happening about backline, and to define backline and breakables. NEVER trust the promoters on their word.
 3.
Why would you want to do that?
Yeah? I would want as low as possible
 4. Pentabuzz 5 string fretless AAAAA, no laquer on board. MVP5 fretted, 5 string black and worn
 5. Blimey errrr. Well its far easier recounting amps then the amount of basses i had! First amp is a Custom Sound Colt 65K Keyboard amp. Cost me 50 quid down the local tat shop and powered my bass through that. Best picture i have is here. Its at the top left behind the keyboard. Second amp was a heavy as hell Laney DP150. Underpowered for the size but was probably my only proper amp that worked for a while! Played my first gig with it. Bought it for about 200 quid, sold it on for about the same. Then i went through a rack amp phase. But with really bad old PA equipment and home built 1x15. I also have a Behringer BX3000 i think for a while which was good enough to plonk on top of cabs at practices. Then i got this Trace Elliot Twin Valve. Amazing little thing. Just didnt have enough power and didnt understand much about cabs at the time. I think i was using a slightly bigger homemade cab at the time. Then i got into Marshalls i think! Specifically the IBS system. First the 200 watt Bi-Amp, Which i used with a Peavey 1x15. Then i got the 400 watt version Bi-amp. With a Peavey 1x15 and 2x8 all in one cab. (Still miss it, but the weight!) Still have a softspot for Bi-Amping. Really did get great sounds out of it. Then it gets a bit hazy........ I went for a larger rig, started buying cabs. I bought a Roland DB-900, A huge heavy 7 speaker monster combo, which i remember liking the shop when i tried it years ago (RRP £1200), Managed to snag it for 200 quid. I dont know what was wrong but it just fell flat. Not as loud as it should have been, The weight was terrible. The new owner likes it but lol. Also in the picture below was my Ashdown LG1000 Which i probably used most even though i owned it for a shorter time then most. Could take it to any gig or practice, so bloody light and useful! Sold on to a young forumite here i think! The cabs were another homemade 1x15 and a Peavey 1x15 (Which is still for sale) Then i purchased a Marshall 1x18 which is a bit big for me to keep around and trying to sell. Decided to get my first proper rig that didnt involve mismatched cabs, underpowered amps. Or broken ones! Just got an SVT 5 PRO through from our Richardd. And waiting on a Barefaced Vintage 2x15 with tweeter. Bout time i got a proper rig
 6. Richard let me buy his SVT 5 PRO from him. Lovely condition, better then described, I reckon he should have sold it with a forklift truck mind ;-) Thanks very much mate
 7. Compared to the SVT!
 8. Well i got the SVT through, I will have to reserve judgement until i put it through a decent cab, But the signs are reasonably encouraging. Bloody heavy though!
 9.
Aw I waa hoping i was going to be the first Barefaced 8x10 So will we see this at the S. Wales Bass Bash in, erm, 7 weeks or so?
If its moved to a weekday i could! Or Saturday night, I work weekends
 10.
Rob I can't believe you're doing this.. You mean to say that winning the Hartke Bass Attack pedal on Saturday wasn't enough to cure your GAS for you? Nik
Hey i tell you what, its alright that pedal! Though might be a little useless with the SVTs over drive channel Working well with the Ashdown!
 11. Errr yeah about that, i thought you had an SVT 3 Pro God i hope it gives me the ampeg growl!
 12.
Sounds amazing, I'm liking the sound of that. That shipping on the amp has made my toes curl, ouch.
The amp is 28 kg with the flight case, So it will be about 6 kilos heavier then the cab! I hope it doesant fall off! Basically the tweeter will get the real high end that the 15's cant replicate.
 13.
Well it's costing the best part of £900, so I reckon 2 cabs....stop playing silly beggers Rob, tell the kids, they want to know.
Its nothing that special. The amp cost me 548 after shipping! I will own Serial number: V7/T. Its a Barefaced Vintage with a Tweeter at the top! Never been done before! I really like my high end So thats £700 for the vintage, £75 for the tweeter upgrade and an extra 50 for postage.
 14.
2 Compacts in Vintage guise.
Nope
 15.
Is that Richards SVT 5?
Maybe
When you asked him for a pink sequins and diamante finish I never thought Alex would do it for you..........
Couldnt afford that! Though i reckon Alex should airbrush this onto his cabs.
Big One 'Plus' with the variable tweeter goodness going on?
Nope
 16.
Is a Big One or a Compact? Oh, a Vintage? Too big for a Midget though....
A few people know exactly what it is. Its a first for Barefaced.
 17. Yeah i feel pretty poor. The top one should arrive tommorow. The bottom... When its built More updates when it happens! Rob.

 19.
Just had to go put your neon pointy mark on something otherwise cool and sensible.
And i knew you would have had a go at me for putting my neon pointy mark on something otherwise cool and sensible.
 20. Sorry guys, i put up 8 ohms a side for some reason! Its 4 ohms a side at 500 watts.
 21.
In which case, you don't need a 1000w amp.
Dammit Olli, shut the hell up I am in the process of ordering a Barefaced Vintage So you can get off my back about getting a decent cab!
 22. Righto! I doubt it'll still be here (He says)
 23. Hey guys. Selling my Ashdown Ultra lightweight LG 1000. Twin power amps running 500 watts each at 4 OHMs. The amp has a few scratches, but otherwise in good condition. No problems whatsoever. Comes with the original box and rack ears (No bolts) £225 Picked up. Postage.... unsure how much probably around £10-15. Bank transfer preferable. Paypal ok if fees are paid. Photos available a few posts down! Cheers! Rob. EDIT: WHY DID I PUT 8 ohms per side rather then 4? Arrrgggh brain.
