1. As far as I am aware. As long as a Rick copy has no statement that says something along the lines of "This is a Rickenbacker bass" and If sellers want to 100% cover themselves, don't include headstock photos in their ads. They cant do anything. People know what they are buying and aren't under the impression that it is a real backer. According to UK law. Its not illegal to possess such items in the UK or resell them as not a real Rickenbacker. It is illegal to possess the MEANS of making such items and produce counterfeits with them. I for one am GLAD to have sold my Rickenbacker this morning and will never buy another one again.
2. Sale is pending, bought thought I would post pics up just in case!
3.
if you try a bass in a shop has it been used? Therefore, no bass is new? I made a video so people can see the bass and hear it. Not looking to trade unless someone has a Mexican P Bass Deluxe 4 string with rosewood fingerboard haha
I dont really want to argue definitions online, but "Brand new" Would imply never been bought/owned. Just because someone has played in a shop doesant mean it is used in the legal sense. The title has been ammended.
4.
Haven't had chance to use.
Seems like you have had a chance to use it on that video! Sorry but you cannot say this is brand new. By all means put "Like new", but this has clearly been used.
5. Hmm, pretty tempting, just wondering how much of a step down it would be from my old barefaced... :S Plus you know, Swindon and all!
6.
I couldn't really box 'em but perhaps someone in the BC community is doing an M4 run and can courier for you? Cheers, James
Would be nice! Any idea of what the exact weight of each one of these are? Do any of them have tweeters?
7. Pretty tempting, though I am no where near you
8. Hey guys. A few months ago I picked up a P bass in pink. Its an AMAZING bass for the money, I enlisted the help of Waghorn guitars and Oli Foxen I decided to turn it into a P-J bass with all black hardware. I purchased a bass with a Dimarzio Split P and Ultra Jazz, ripped them out. Got Waghorn to rout a jazz pickup sized hole in the 70's position, got the bass to Oli Foxen who is just this minute putting it all together. A new heavy duty bridge, Knobs, Wilkinson tuners, the works! Heres the work in progress... Secondly is a bit of a mistake! (Not in a bad way.) I was on ebay and spotted a nice Sunburst jazz body for a reasonable price, I was umming and aahhing at it on my phone, even so much as to have it on the "Confirm to buy screen". I decided against buying it as I had enough on my plate. Anyway when I next unlocked my phone, I pressed the buttons one to many times and came back onto the confirmation screen and I pressed commit Doh! (Honestly I didnt mean to do this!) So with a heavy heart I bought the rest of the stuff to make a bass, All gold hardware, Wilkinson bridge and tuners, a Harrier Maple/Maple neck. I still need a set of pickups for it, but I have spent way to much already! Not sure what pup I will go for, something growly, Geddy Lee sounding maybe. Thinking of going with Dimarzio Ultra Jazzes again, but I havent heard 2 of them at the same time... So we'll see how they turn out! Rob.
9. "That's a really punchy/crunchy tone" it does not mean anything!
10. I have had a lovely offer for the full price, though it involves a deposit and a little wait! Anyone care to best it? Rob.
11. I'll bite. Where are these basses actually built? All I can really tell is that they are chinese basses with a nice setup and Wizard pickups put on them. Which frankly, I could do myself. What is the typical price of one of these basses.
12. Pmed from a fellow Swindonite!
13. Ok gonna try this one more time before lobbing it up on Ebay! Here is a Washburn G20V, the twin humbucker equipped version of the guitar that Wayne used in Waynes world before he bought his strat! It was made sometime in the 80s in Japan, has a lovely set neck with Carbonite fingerboard, Candy apple red finish. Ultra awesome Washburn Wonderbar tremolo. Recently fitted are some motherbucker pickups, Dimarzio coil tapped pots and a brand new jack socket. Its a brillaint player with a nearly perfectly flat fingerboard. The Washburn wonderbar nut has been replaced with a standard floyd rose one. The trem arm is non original (The thread is too long) and could do with a genuine replacement from the Ebay seller "Lemon James" http://myworld.ebay....sid=p4340.l2559 (Just contact her for one and she'll work it out) Its in a used condition, there are smudges, scratches and bucklerash. Minor paintloss at the back of the headstock near the tip and at the butt strap pin area. Nothing that effects the structure of the guitar. No trades. £190 collected from Swindon/Bristol, or £205 posted. Bank transfer is MUCH preferred. Any questions let me know. Rob.
14. You have to put a trade value in your advert! No idea how much you value them. Are they available for postage>
15.
any idea on weight and neck profile? cheers, nick
Not right now as its not in my hands, With any luck it will be with me tommorow but 99% sure will be with me Tuesday. I'll ask the seller, though he has posted it already.
16. Hey guys. Bought it on a whim, it hasent even arrived yet and I just realised I already have 3 All maple constructed basses that all do the same thing! (Growl). It is in good nick apart from buckle rash on the back. Photos will be posted up when I get the bass. Come with hardcase and pickup cover. Just wondering if any of you fine gents would be interested in it at £1040 posted. Obviously collection from Swindon is much more appreciated. Will part ex for a Barefaced cab. Rob.
17. Bump with a Photo of the guitar with its new pups! Also I have sourced someone who has replacement trem arm, Lemon James is an absoloute saint, E-mail her and she'll sell you a fully fitting Washburn Wonderbar Trem arm in black!. http://myworld.ebay.com/lemonjames/?_trksid=p4340.l2559
