1. Aww if only you would take trades Lovely basses these!
2. Reduced to £95 Shipped! Firm!
3. Hey guys. Here is a lovely Dean bass, from the early 90's but I dont know much more then that! Lovely Flame top, decent pre-amp, looks to be aftermarket but I cant be sure. It's of middle weight with a mediumish size neck? The Cutaway at the top of the body really helps reduce soreness on the lower arm. Truss rod works absoloutely fine and has been setup with a low action. Frets are played but not well worn. A D tuner is installed however could do with reinstallation or is broken (I am not sure how one is supposed to act, but seems loose to me!) I do have the original tuner to go on instead if needed. The bass could do with a nice polish. The front of the body is in good condition with very minor scuffs, scuffs and buckle rash on the sides and back, Slight wear on the back of the neck and headstock not that you could tell from the front! Jack is angled towards the bottom strap pin which is a bloody good idea. As you can see there are no pickups, I do have some photos of the pre-amp cavity before I took the pickups out to show you where to put some in, also left some of the pickup wire attached to the various bits on the pre-amp to help. Anyway. Reduced to £95 Shipped! Firm! No trades tah.
4.
I dropped into Rickaxe Guitars whilst in Bristol today and had a chat with the guy in there (didn't get his name but he's the main guy). I'm tempted to take it to him, anyone have any experience with them?
Yeah dont bother, Eugene who used to work there was an awesome bass player and reasonable tech, but since he left, I havent even looked in. The owner is a bit of a pratt.

6. Hey guys. I am more of a bass player so have decided to trade out with my things here! Looking for just basses, no amps or cabs or effects. What have you got? Will also do part ex's. The Fender Tele will have be traded for something I REALLY like though. Will do many different combinations. I also have a little money I can put in the pot to sweeten the deal. Examples of what I would like, Fender basses, Gibson Grabbers, Musicmans, Kramer Alu necks, Fretless 5 strings, maybe some 80's stuff. I like doom related basses. I am based in Swindon/Bristol and would prefer collection, the amp will not be posted under any circumstance. Cheers! Rob. Fender Tele 72' custom reissue with SD Quarter pounder. I have a lovely Telecaster 72' reissue with a Seymour Duncan 1/4 bridge pup. (includes original pup too!) Its a lovely player with a decent action, very little fretwear, does have some light plectrum wear on the scratchplate. Has been recently rewired and had some copper sheilding under the scratchplate. I value the guitar £450. I will only trade this particular guitar for something equally desirable (Fender or easily sellable bass) Ashdown/Matamp Peacemaker 100 Custom, Handmade in the UK Designed by Dave Green of Matamp and handbuilt in the UK, in good working order. Just replaced the VU lamp and some pre-amp valves. "The sensational Peacemaker 100 tube guitar head leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of tone. **ALSO INCLUDES TRIODE/PENTODE SWITCH TO CUT THE POWER OUTPUT IN HALF Transformer guru John Page was persuaded out of retirement to design the ultimate transformer for high frequency performance, harmonic content and low-end response. All wiring is undertaken by hand using solid copper wire and Ministry of Defence lacing of all looms, and the chassis is stainless steel, chosen to eliminate the effects of a magnetic field on the sound. Six enormous smoothing capacitors ensure a consistent, ripple-free delivery of power and all the very best practices are followed for the reduction of hum and noise. Preamp tubes are the classic 5 x 12AX7 configuration and each output tube is indivdually fused with the biasing adjustable by the player using rotary controls available from the back panel, in conjunction with the VU meter set to 'Audio'. EL34 tubes are fitted as standard with Pentode / Triode switching, but it's also possible to fit KT88s or 6L6s, enabling guitarists to experiment with different tube selections and create their own unique tones. Footswitching between two input gain settings provides access to a range of unashamedly British sounds. Overdrive tones are powerful yet restrained, retaining every detail and nuance of the performance, while clean sounds are gloriously glassy and bright. Back panel facilities include FX send and return, 4/8/16 Ohm impedance switching and mains voltage selector." I value the amp at £480. Washburn G20V, Set neck, Made in Japan. I have a 80's Washburn G20V, set neck, made in japan super stratalike. Twin humbuckers, Carbonite fingerboard and the AWESOME Washburn wonderbar bridge. I have replaced the original pretty awful pups with some Motherbuckers, The pots are original coil tapped Dimarzios Its a fantastic player with an awesome hard rock/metal sound. The stock Wonderbar nut has been replaced with a better Floyd rose nut. I have an unoriginal trem bar for it, but I have found someone with a stock of black NOS replacement trem bars if needed. It has a very dark red candy apple type finish. There are light scratches dings and scuffs which are part and parcel of an old guitar such as this. It's also just had a repair on the butt strap pin where shipping damage occured. None of this is visible on stage. This is the same type as used by Wayne in Waynes world (Before he got the strat). I value the guitar at around £250. 13.
Sounds like emotional blackmail to me! Go for the best deal you can get! It's a big difference. Mrs CyberBass must be a diamond if she's been nagging you to get what you want! The current mrs discreet is just as likely to give me a thwack round the groin with a tea towel! If I'm lucky.
I dont think its emotional blackmail, its just the truth. The manager cant pricematch at online clearence levels.
14. Tbh, PMT/Reverb/Sound Control have always lost money in Bristol, the manager your on about has never actually made a profit and has been there for years. The only reason why the store keeps managing to change hands is because SC, Reverb and PMT, when they sell it always make sure the online sales go through that one store, so it "Seems" like it is making a huge profit. Go with the cheaper option, then get Eltham to set it up.
15. Grand Theft Auto soundtracks have always been the pinnacle of funk and Disco tastes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_XP0EXsT_4&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLL0Cg3rYiY&feature=related
16. With a heavy heart I have to sell my Grabber. Wont go into reasons, but is has to be done. I got the maple neck sanded down as it was pretty worn. Refinished in gloss and refretted with STAINLESS STEEL frets. Replaced the original bridge with a Hipshot A style 18mm, string thru holes lined up perfectly! I have the original bridge available. The scratchplate is also brand new. Has a new set of Elixer nanowebs, Comes with the original Gibson case. The body has various dings. Pretty lightweight. The body is more wine red then black. Plays brilliantly the new bridge really works.
