1. Hey guys. I have a Squier P bass Special that needs some pickups and strings! Its a nice silver/sparkle finish with rosewood board. The squier logo had been removed by a previous owner. The rosewood board has just been well oiled up. No real major damage or issues, maybe a few scuffs. £80 FIRM Plus postage. Payment will be by bank transfer or cash. Would prefer to send with the neck off.
2. Mat popped down to Bristol to collect a Deluxe P5 off of me. True gent and had a nice chat. 100% Grade A+
3. Would love to! But dont have A vigier to trade with
4.
SVP Pro preamp (9lbs) and a lightweight as a power amp?
Wont be small enough, Need to be able to fit it into a Laptop bag.
5.
Valve pre isn't going to help you. SVT preamp is super complicated and just putting valves in doesn't do it. Valves are just mojo, the circuit gives the tone, you just end up with a more expensive not the same circuit with a different sound, and more colouration to take you away from the sound of the VT bass, which does do what you want.
True, hence why I bought a power amp to put the VT Bass through. However I figured, if I can get somethine super lightweight that can do clean stuff, with a pre-amp In or an effects loop, I can also plug the Sansamp into it when I need the SVT tone.
6.
Would you look at the Terror Bass?
When i tried one, it sounded a bit muffly tbh. Was not keen.
7.
Bassists are spoilt for choice when it comes to small heads now, the choice is mind-boggling! Not sure about getting the 'Ampeg' sound other than getting an Ampeg. Have you considered the Gallien Krueger MB series heads, or the SWR Headlite series, the Ibanez Promethean or Eden heads? A lot to choose from. If it's a tube growl that you're after, maybe a small head with Sansamp DI Driver preamp might get you close?
See i would go for the Ampeg PF500 but it only has a MOSFET pre-amp stage, was hoping for something with a Valve pre. I have tried GK before and have been quite impressed, but havent tried that exact model. I do have my sansamp VT bass deluxe, but would rather have the sound "Built-in" to the head. This is why Sansamp need to make a Microamp themselves.
8. Hey guys. In my continuing need for downsizing, I have decided to get a new lightweight and small head, I want it to sound as Ampegy as possible. I know Ampeg have made a microhead recently, but I was thinking on getting something thats up for sale in our classifieds quite often! Built in compressor would be awesome! Otherwise, How about a transparant sounding amp that will work well with my Sansamp VT Bass Deluxe? What can you recommend? Rob.

10. You MUST include a price with your advert if it is for sale. Forum rules and all.

12. Well Sterling claims that he will send to the UK if enough of us bitch at the UK distrubuters, which would mean paying UK retail right? Anyway I have sent my "Bitching" e-mail to one of the distrubutors at the following E-mail address. [email protected]
13.
Same as a standard SR5, but it could be at retail, I don't know. EDIT, won't be long before it's up on that link, they said Tuesday, but I dunno if that's Tuesday today, or in a weeks time.
And how much would retail/standard SR5 cost? ha. Might go for the single H meself.
14. Any ideas on pricing? I am very tempted and I have the money!
15. Are the side dot position markers on the fret like on some fretlesses, or are they positioned as they would be on a fretted bass?
16. Is it a 34" scale? Is that a 19mm String spacing at the bridge I see?
17. Thanks for the comments guys! I may consider selling the bass as a project, minus the J-retro and SD pups. Would sell for £680 without those parts. No I do not have the original pups or pre-amp.
18.
No chance of a trade for my Dingwall?
Doubt it!
19. Hey guys. Up for sale is my Pedulla MVP5 made in the USA bass. This is a premium bass with premium upgrades. Heres a couple of live photos, also added to the op. This is in a "light" room, so imagine when its dark Looks like the camera is struggling to pick up the greeness! This bass is a 5 string 34Inch scale all maple construction beauty, featuring a never before seen hand mixed and applied nuclear green finish. This finish has neon/black-light properties much like the DR neon strings that are on the bass. The Bartolini electronics have been replaced with a complete EMG BTC pre-amp with twin volume, bass, mid volume, mid contour and treble controls. The pickups are an EMG MMTW humbucker and EMG P5. The MMTW can be switched to a single coil mode via one of the volume pots. The P5 has buckets of growl perfect rock tone! To round it off, all these are electronics are powered by a 27 Volt harness. (3 9volt batteries) The Schaller 3D adjustable bridge allows the user to adjust the string spacing to suit their own playing style. The tuners are Hipshot Ultralite tuners, the lightest tuners in the business and very sturdy they are too! Dunlop strap pins installed. One of the tuners has been scratched on the key part. This is a one of a kind bass, don't miss out on it! Comes with beat up Pedulla hardcase and Pedulla owners kit (Including the bespoke truss rod kit.) Would much prefer the bass to be picked up from Swindon, Bristol or London. I would rather not post this, however if the buyer is willing to arrange a courier and take on all responsibility for delivery then I don't mind boxing her up.
20. Hey guys. Decided to separate my adverts. Up for sale is my loved Fender Deluxe USA Jazz bass 5 string. Features the more favored 4/1 headstock, Montego Black/Gold Scratchplate combination with a lovely Maple neck. 34" Scale This bass has had the some what anemic original active electronics taken out and replaced with a John East J-retro Deluxe which gives you ultimate control over your bass. Features Active/passive switch, Bass, Treble, Extra bright push pull switch, Mid volume and Mid contour control, as well as a passive tone control! Maximum knobbage! http://east-uk.com/jretrodeluxe01.pdf Complementing the pre-amp is a set of Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders, lovely hot pickups with loads of grind that can be toned down to a nice full funk sound. All electronics have been FULLY shielded with copper tape. There is little to no background noise when the bass is plugged in. The bass has a lovely Low action which is happy to be adjusted. The Truss rod is working well 100%. There are playing marks on the body which are quite hard to show up under lights. You would have to look at it in the right light to see! Anyway, I am selling this bass for a VERY modest £900. Comes with a non original hardcase (not the one in the photo) Not really looking for trades. Maybe a part ex for a Gibson Grabber or Fender P with maple neck or maybe an Ampeg V4 100 watt valve amp. This bass will be shortly put up on ebay, but would much prefer to do a deal here. Payment via Bank transfer or cash in hand. Pickup is MUCH preferred in Bristol. I will post at buyers expense, thought I would prefer not to post at all.
21. Bump! Willing to take interesting trades and part ex's on the Pedulla. Rob.
