1.
27 volt Do you have to wear rubber gloves when you play it?
Green ones, yes!
 2. Hey guys! Been waiting ages to do this ever since i sent my Pedulla away! Pedulla MVP5, EMG MMTW, P5 and BQS Pre-amp at 27Volts, Hipshot Ultralites, Schaller 3D bridge. Fender USA Deluxe Jazz V, Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders and J-Retro Deluxe. Fender USA Deluxe Precision V. Ampeg SVT Anniversary Model Barefaced Vintage 2x15 with tweeter.
 3. Project has been finished! Go here! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=130497
 4. Hey guys. Well its over! 13 months since the start of the project! Lots of man hours and nervous waits! I love Pedullas, I really do, I dig the marmite body shape and ergonomics. However I hate Bartolini pickups with a passion and P-J setups. So I decided to make some changes! Out came the old Chrome hardware and barts. In went all black hardware, Schaller 3D bridge, Hipshot ultralites, EMG MMTW, P5 and BQS preamp. I would like to thank Tom Waghorn and the boys at Waghorn guitars of Bristol for doing most of the major renovation and for repairing my mistakes! For further information on the build please go here. My Old Pedulla was this. And is now. This. Pedulla MVP5 EMG MMTW, P5 and BQS system. Schaller 3D bridge. Hipshot ultralite tuners. 27Volt active system (3 9 volt batteries) Nuclear green... I WILL GET MORE PHOTOS IN DARKER CONDITIONS LATER! So it is now a slightly neon green! Unfortunately it is such a bright green most computer monitors cannot reproduce the type of brilliant green it has! It positively glows! Photos do absoloutely no justice to the finish! I will be bringing this green beast to the Basschat Cardiff bash on the 1st of April for anyone who wants to see it in the flesh! It sounds fantastic, lots of low end growl! Rob.
 5. Well we have managed to source some inlay material for the front dots, they will be the same green colour. However side dots will have to be missed out as they are just too darned small! I have considered the putty route and all of your suggestions, but it is just too fiddly to work with. Unless anyone else is willing to do the job for me?
 6. That neck repair is damn solid, probably stronger then it was before, very hard to see the difference in colour.
 7.
I've done some inlays with putty-like substances (usually Milliput). I'd probably drill a hole in a piece of wood and do a trial run. That way you can ensure that the putty doesn't shrink when it dries (if it does, just make sure you put enough on to account for the shrinkage) and that the final finished colour is what you're after. Keep a lump of spare putty handy, and when it is rock hard, your inlay putty will be too. Scrape off the majority of the excess putty with a cabinet scraper or sharp chisel. Are you happy to sand the area around the holes? You'll need to do that to make it perfectly flush, preferably to something like 400 grit. You're obviously quite handy, so sorry if any of this is stating the obvious.
Can you paint milliput green before kneading? It needs to be either mixed with the paint used for the bass, or already bright green.
 8. Out of interest, has anyone heard of making inlays out of Putty? Because i can source some neon green putty, maybe put some in the inlay hole and sealing with some sort of clear coat?
 9.
How did you mask the logo? Or is that a new decal?
You can find out earlier in the thread! All was explained.
Nice. That's going to be quite a looker when finished! Green LEDs anybody?
I would love green LEDS but i assume the fingerboard would have to come off of the bass to get them fitted, which would damage the paintwork? A note on the paint, its VERY hard to get an even coat on it, if even one bit is missing or uneven, or darker, you cant just strip the finish back around that patch, because it leaves a dark patch. Even when you respray over the darker patch it still a different shade to the rest of the body! The last coat had to be done in one go, with no mistakes, no running. I was thinking of just putting some bright green plastic inlays in, instead.
 10. All the coats are on now, just gotta wait to dry, rub down and then assemble! Sorry for dark photos!
 11.
I had this problem a few years ago. Turned out it was actually to do with my national insurance number. Maybe go down down to your local job centre and make sure all is in line with your NI?
My NI is no problem. 100% sure of that.
 12.
I think they will sort it if all is as it should be its just hard getting someone to sort those sorts of problem out, I always get the idiot on the helpline. Last time I had a tech problem with my internet not working the helpline says if you are busy try looking online in their help section! If I was online I wouldnt be ringing or chosen the internet is not working press 5 etc etc etc...
Its more of a "No one can agree what my exact address is" problem. Its just different names for the same place, the council think its "Flat, 93 Insert Road name here" I think its "93A Insert Road name here" and Equifax thinks its just "93 Insert Road name here" Which is the shop downstairs.
 13.
Not sure what you can do then, Is there a referal system or did the "computer says no"?
I am in talks with Equifax about the matter. Have to sort this out before i turn 26 in July!
 14. OTHER TRADES/part ex's CONSIDERED: Amp with a pre-amp defeat so I can plug my sansamp directly without going through the pre. Must be lightweight. Basses etc. Would much prefer a part ex with money my way. Lightweight cabs also a possibility. Does NOT come with cab! Hey guys. Well I might have to move soon, decided to put this up on the chopping block for now. 300 all valve watts. In overall good condition, valves are all original and in great nick, the fan is a little noisy on startup which is typical for the model. The valves are perfectly biased (As shown by the bias lights in the above photo.) This is the best amp I have ever owned. Part exchange with cash my way for a Gibson Grabber G1 or some sort of high powered Power amp. Full trades considered but not likely. £800 Firm no haggling! Collection ONLY.
 15.
I got removed a few years ago (must of ticked a wrong box?) messed up our mortgage! Make sure your on there and try again I guess?
I was put on the Electoral Roll on the March registery, I am on there! Confirmation and everything.
 16.
Yep 4 of 9 payments gone now.
I was put on the March electorate registry, yet equifax think I am still not on the register. So I dont know what to think! Rather embarrasing to be rejected on the phone, especially when the shop guy on the other end was a BCer!
 17. Did everyone who was Electoral role registered get their loans?
 18. I tried to get me a Gibson Grabber using the Take It Away scheme just last month, I got rejected in my application and I have no idea why!
 19. Wow, i'll be looking at this with interest! Sounds really bad but how much will the final build cost?
 20.
That would be me, hows things going? Still with the band?
Sure am! And Oli who you seem to know is currently living at my place! Small world eh.
 21.
Hi Oli, please remind me of yourself. I'm Sorry, I've gone blank. How do you know me?
We're you the sound engineer at the Roc Sock meetings? I remember introducing myself as a basschat member a while back to the sound engineer who very kindly lent me their GK head and alesis compressor.
 22.
Sorry I've been a bit slack boys, my head chef is currently in Thailand leaving me in charge and I havnt had a day off for a while, music box is booked! Sunday 1st may 12-5 and I have 3 rooms at a cost of £150 meaning that if 15 people pay £10 we've broken even, anything over that will be donated to charity or half to charity and half to the forum depending on how far over that we are at the end of the day. Bring as much gear as you like! I'm praying someone brings a Wal and that Gary v8 brings the Kingbass he's trying to sell. I reckon we should make ourselves name tags with our user names, avatars and real names on so that everyone knows who everyone is?
Generally the organiser provides the stickers and markers to make nametags on entry! Anyway, i am coming for sure. Sundays good for me. I'll be wanting a damn good go on your Grabber mate! Maybe we should have a revised list of people and gear going and the finalised date in the title of the thread with "UPDATE" in big caps. Rob.
 23. Damn, just heard via Steve Arringtons Twitter account. Mark Adams was my number 1 funk influence along with Bernard Edwards, awesomely free groovy and growly as hell tone. One of the best in the business IMO. Heres some of his greatest lines. I hope it has an impact on people who may not have heard him before. He Co-wrote and played bass on "Slide" aged just 16. I know a number of you also were pretty fond of his playing, thought you might like to know! Rob.
