3. Hey guys. I have a Dimarzio X2N Power plus in cream, its from the 80's and its in great working order. It is tarnished and has glue traces on the plastic where someone has placed a cover on top. Roughly 5-6 inches of lead. £35 FIRM collected in Swindon, postage will cost extra. Bank transfer ONLY. Cheers! Rob.
4. I think you should be worrying the placement of the individual bridge peices more then the pickups! Look at the difference in placement between them!
5.
Rob that is stunning. When did you start having the same taste in basses as me?
I've always wanted to be like you joe , that and.
6. Hey guys,This is 76' Grabber, I got the maple neck sanded down as it was pretty worn. Refinished in gloss and refretted. Replaced the original bridge with a Hipshot A style 18mm, string thru holes lined up perfectly! Body will be refinished when I get around to it, but I am very happy with the way it plays and how the bridge worked out! 8. This is all I have at the moment for photos! Silver grille.
9. Ok well, I have given up on the idea of refinishing the body for the moment due to lack of funds, however here is the neck, stripped down refretted and glossed up! I ordered a Hipshot A Style bridge with 18mm string spacing, its is nearly exactly the same dimensions of the old bridge and the string thru holes line up exactly! Should be ready to take home next week.
10. Hey guys. I have started to enjoy playing with a plectrum recently, though i dont know much about them. I love the thickness of Stubby's. But they are way too small in diameter! Anything of a similar thickness which is just that little bit bigger? Cheers!
11. Maserati, Show me the season. Consistant if nothing else! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv0QzSdVwhk
12. Well you have come to the right place! The B Con Jam/Reggae/Rock (Fugazi) styley band. Lots of pent up aggression, dynamics, cheap CD's, cheap shows, hiring out venues for nights, benefit shows. A bit of a DIY attitude, hand painting banners, creating a label, bringing in bands from outside of Swindon to play support. I want to be in a band that would organise nights where everyone came to see everyone and not just go home as soon as the local talent finish. I am a guitarist, bassist and vocalist. Some ideas are somewhat fleshed out with concerns to song ideas. I have decent equipment and a drive to get something started. Looking for a guitarist, bassist and drummer, preferably with some vocal talent. Funds are available to start practicing and recording asap. Anyway, get in contact with me, any age, all walks of life appreciated. I am not some wild eyed hipster, nor am I out to change the world. Music related things just seemed better when Fugazi was around to do it! I am based in Rodbourne, have toured and recorded numerous times in and around Europe, serious enquiries only please, I am not the kind to hang about on no shows. If you do not know who Fugazi are, here is some education! Like what you hear? Contact me! 14. Hey guys. Looking for people to help me tab out Strike Anywheres Discography. I have worked out a number of parts on DeadFM. Wondering if anyone else would like to help me get through the rest as I seem to be having trouble picking out other aspects! Other bands stuff may be considered in the particular genre! Would be nice if had a team of people on it! Cheers! Rob.
15. Hey guys. Decided it might be time to move on my Barefaced Vintage. Its a little large for the house and looking for something more compact/modular. It's one of only two ever made. Its so light I can lift it above my head with ease. 2x15 Neo's the lighter ply'ed version. Its been played mostly in the house. Its very nearly mint. The tweeter is adjustable via a knob in the middle port. Very solid bit of kit and shifts loads of air! Would like to part exchange it for a Barefaced Compact or Midget/T or similar lightweight cabs. Would trade fully for a Compact and Midget together! I am not interested in a Barefaced Big one. For sale at £620 FIRM. Photos available on request. Pickup ONLY in Swindon. Cheers! Rob.

17. My opinion on the matter is that you dont NEED a degree to do what you want to do (Professional musician). But it's likely you will NEED to get a degree in a subject for your "backup" plan if you want to have a career to help pay the bills. I did a fairly high level qualification in Music Tech and got me nothing but 2 years of supermarket work and frustration and this was BEFORE the financial crisis. I gave it up and I did my degree in ICT, I had a job 3 months after coming out of uni. I still play in bands and my current band may have something worldwide in the works (Though i cant say what exactly). I think with self study and discipline at home you can become a professional musician and you shouldnt have to go to uni to make yourself have that discipline. Look at all of the classic/modern music bands out there right now, not many boast of a music degree (Apart from Dream theater and a few other bands for "Musicians"). When degrees were cheaper and you didnt mind losing 3 years of your life, I would have said go for it you never know. But now, I dont think its worth the risk to spend the large amount of money needed for a degree with such low job prospects. By all means get bass lessons, learn with books how to sequence and setup a nice recording rig. Whilst doing a degree for your backup plan. Whilst your doing that degree, visit the music department at your uni and make friends and contacts! I am now 26 years old, because of my mistake taking a music course for 2 years, I have a job that a fresh faced 21 year old would usually have. However I am grateful for having it.
18. Hey guys. I have a 80's Washburn G20V, set neck, made in japan super stratalike. Twin humbuckers, Carbonite fingerboard and the AWESOME Washburn wonderbar bridge. Its a fantastic player with an awesome hard rock/metal sound. The stock Wonderbar nut has been replaced with a better Floyd rose nut. I have an unoriginal trem bar for it, but I have found someone with a stock of black NOS replacement trem bars if needed. It has a very dark red candy apple type finish. There are light scratches dings and scuffs which are part and parcel of an old guitar such as this. It's also just had a repair on the butt strap pin where shipping damage occured. None of this is visible on stage. This is the same type as used by Wayne in Waynes world (Before he got the strat). £200 no offers, Shipping will cost extra. 19. All finished now, go here ! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/160319-warmoth-antigua-p-j-porn/
20. Hey guys. Warmoth lightweight maple body finished in Antigua burst with matching scratchplate. Mightymite maple/maple neck. Hipshot ultralite tuners. Dimarzio Willpower and Dimarzio Ultra J bridge pups. Gotoh 201 Bridge. I had our very own Mr_Foxen put her together. He did a very good job of it and in decent time too! Far better then the mexican reissue, more of a faithful antigua reproduction then what Fender managed in the recent FSR models. Basically I wanted the antigua look, but a very balls to the wall trebley sound, and its exactly what I got! It has growl in spades. Emulates the Strike Anywhere/Rise Against tone. It has a very low action. Slight ding on the scratchplate. I dont want to let her go. £700 pickup in London.
21. Would love this tbh. No money for a few weeks....
22.
Yeh I'd quite like to know too - Drooled on the MightyMite site and Warmoth but was put off as was scared off by prospect of a bill.
Mighty mite neck was sourced in the UK, so it cost nothing to import. The Warmoth body and scratchplate, the bridge, accesories etc. Cost £125 Import fees.
How did you get Warmoth to put the Jack through the body side? On their online Body Builder, if you select a P-Bass body with a top rout, it doesn't allow the option of side jack mount. Having failed to locate a stacked concentric 250k pot I have decided to do the 3 knobs thing but am hovering over ordering my body precisely because of this.
Good question, I could do it when I ordered mine, but can no longer do it. Best E-mail them,.
23. Hey guys. I have a EHX Double muff in good condition for sale! It has a nearly brand new battery and is great for those over the top fuzz moments! £25 posted for quick sale. Bank transfer only please. Photos available on request! Rob.
