1.
Serial is C-046359-98 ...could this mean its a 98 after all ? Stick yours up Bagsie, i'm in no rush to part with this
Yep C = March xxxxxxxx 98 = 1998. No point us competing against each other mate. I'm happy to let you have a run at it. I'm under pressure from my gaffer (Mrs Bagsieblue) to sell a bass.....so while I'm in no great rush, Mrs Bagsieblue is....
2. some years ago I gave one of my ..erm...erm 'disciples' some advice that they were too still and shoe gazing on stage. Lent him a wireless transmitter to help free him up a bit. Very next gig I was shocked, stunned and amazed to see him spinning like a b'std.....nearly screwed himself into the floor. Next advice was telling him he was moving around too much!!!
3. Never been sure where Rock / Heavy Rock / Metal......and onwards starts and ends. To me Heavy Rock is still 'danceable', metal becomes 'moshable' For me got to be Appetite For Destruction, Guns n Roses. Not a bad track on it.
4.
In fact just had it out to look at the headstock... And looked at bank balance... Grrrrr... Second thoughts kicking in... I
Mate - keep it!...... or at least withdraw it and have a think about it - sleep on it.
5.
It is light, and we're not cash flow a little rickety it wouldn't be going anywhere. Did the FSR end up staying?
Funny you should ask - I've just had contact today with a guy from Liverpool from my Preloved ad from months ago........ Probably will be going at the weekend but I've put one last bump on it for the BC crowd, as I'd prefer it to stay in the BC party. Although got a nagging feeling I don't really want to sell it.........
6. OK - Looks like this is going to Liverpool via Preloved over the weekend. So......one last Basschat bump for a nice bass. I know it can take a nice bass to attract a nice bass so bumping for possibly a nice Warwick trade? - SS1 etc? Or.....should I call off the dogs and keep it??? Decisions, decisions.......
7.
bargain
Yes it is. The trade value on this in our deal was much more than £300 - someone snap his hand off will you? I've tried to look at my old thread to see if I have any more pictures of the headstock but I don't. Rest assured this is a genuine Fender neck, I got this off an old fella in Burnley who was packing up playing due to arthritis. - I seem to remember Mr Nibody took the neck off and put some pics up but I can't seem to find the thread. Pics showed the pencil markings on the neck as I recall. Great bass, does the P bass sound with aplomb and very lightweight for a Japanese P as I remember. Surely this won't last the night.
8. I have a red flame Fortress - was actually thinking of putting it up on here today until I saw this - no point us competing with each other. Mine is a 97 (I think) and has the brass nut. What year is this one Mr Rasta? GLWTS
9.
You're all wrong. It's six big muffs, half an apple and a funky stick, played through an old boot.
Then that night the Hungry Caterpillar had a stomach ache!
10. Nice and chunky - very P bass esque...
11. Still here - in response to questions via PM - spacing between the pickups is 3.5" polepiece to polepiece. Not entirely sure what the difference is or the influence on sound. Most sounds can be coaxed from the active Nordstand Pre or can revert to classic J set up of Vol, Vol, Tone by pulling the tone knob out.
12. Yep - used to be mine. Great bass, great price, great fella. Half tempted to have this back but I need to sell not buy.
13.
Any trades
Possibly, depends on what you've got but ideally looking for a sale.....PM me with any interesting offers.
14. Bump - some interest but currently still here.
15. Played this bass last weekend. Superb bass - will do everything you want and more. If I wasn't trying to trim the collection I'd be thinking ever more seriously about this one and taking Karl's usual advice of looking for an off licence to turn over Top, top bass - top top fella. Have a bump.
16. Bump..... - still in great condition for a 10 year old bass.
17. and a Hmmm.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/219707-fsft-reduced-fender-cij-75-ri-jazz-bass-non-export-with-deluxe-super-jazz-nordstrand-upgrades/page__fromsearch__1 ????
18. Great vid, Jazz then the P for me. Also liked the Les Paul over the bridge pickup. Agreed on the amp comment - would be interesting to also compare through an amp with a pure sound.
19.
I can't stand it. Don't like the way he runs his company and all that but I quite fancy one. I've owned several in the past, even a really good copy but I don't need one. I certainly couldn't use it in my Police tribute. I can even get one interest free AAAARRRGGHGHGH help
Christmas is coming - it's silly season.
20. Did a trade with Jeff - easy, straightforward deal. Would happily deal with again. Thanks again Jeff.
21.
Where's Mr Bagsieblue?
Crying in the corner!. Fabulous bass bump...
