2. I agree with the sell it comments. I've found that once the seed is sown in your mind of having doubts, not gelling etc then it is the beginning of the end. It can take a while to convince yourself of this but in the end I've always ended up moving on anything that I've started to have doubts about.
3. I think black is an easy colour to match. If it was me I'd leave it as I'm not too bothered about dings etc but if you really wanted to spruce it up a bit I'd repaint it with black nail varnish. A little at a time and let it dry as you build up the layers until level.
4. I think I might need to clarify. I already had the Euro 5LX I'm GASing for a 4 string spector have not played a Euro LX TW with the Single / Dual coil switchable pickups - they seem a bit thin on the ground although I realise that they have not been around too long.
5. Tom1946 - the bridge was already on when I got the bass. I'm not sure if it replaced a 5 hole or 4 hole bridge. I can say that it is very sturdy and a tidy job. sprocketflup - yes willing to post and PM'ed.
6. Another one of those factors that are so small to be almost not worth considering.
7. Obvious suggestion is a Warwick Double buck...

9. Sold a bass to Shem - great transaction, hassle free. Top man, would have no hesitation in dealing with again.
10. Thanks for all the input - I've got a Euro 5LX - great bass. I'm interested in first hand opinions of the newer TW's and how different they are. Finding one in the flesh seems to be very tricky
11.
That action is crazily low. It's gotta have some incredibly high build quality to be able to get away with that! Great great value.
Indeed it does and it is ! - Bump
12.
Hard luck Martyn, he will accept courier if sorted by buyer (his Q and A bit below the ad)
Ahh... well spotted
13. Funky looking - shame it's collection from Dorset only or I'd be wanting to colour myself interested.
14. I'm looking to free up funds by selling probably two basses and replacing with just the one. One of the basses on the possible list to bring in is a Spector Euro LX TW with the Single / Dual coil switchable pickups. My thinking being that the switchable pickups will offer a very versatile bass. Can I ask for peoples first hand experiences of these and also compared to the 'classic' versions. If there are any these in the local vicinity of Chorley / Lancs (shops or BC'ers) that could have a go on I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.
15. Does it have to be an electric bass? Have you considered an inexpensive acoustic / electro acoustic bass so there are no leads / amps to invest in and have lying around?
16. For Sale: The BTC Control features a bass and treble equalizer on a concentric (stacked) pot. It takes up very little space and will work with any pickup, active or passive. It comes complete with knobs (including 2 extra volume knobs). BTC Controls and Systems are the most widely used bass EQ Systems in the world. Approximately 12db of cut and boost are available for bass and treble and all controls are center detented to assure quick return to normal tone settings. A dual-dip switch is mounted to the PC Board that lets you program the high end frequency response four different ways so you can choose the sound that's right for you. These systems use the latest in surface mount technology, are extremely quiet, and require very little current from a 9 Volt battery. More information here. 17. Update - managed to get some decent tones of of this tonight. It's the optional passive mid EQ that throws me. It's very bright so plenty of mid, bit of bass and roll off the treble gives a pleasing sound. Good news, as it's a great playing and great looking bass.
18. Thanks for the comments Guys - IMHO its a good bass at a good price. Surprised it hasn't gone yet but the market seems very flat everywhere at the moment - tricky times....
19. Superb - well done - that is a proper song. A song, that does my favourite thing - actually goes somewhere, not the usual verse/chorus/verse/chorus etc all at the same dynamic. Bet it's great to play and to listen to live.
