1. Great looking bass Great souding bass Great guy to deal with What more could you want?
2. The video's are of the condition of the bass. No playing video sorry but I'm sure you all know what a USA Fender P sounds like.
3. My First Gig, Manchester Apollo on this Tour......
4. Cheers - I don't want to really mod the bass and I don't really want to get rid as it is a beautiful and lovely bass to play, fussy bugger eh? Not familiar with DR Fatbeams, will they give me some more thump as I would hope that flats would?
5. I've done some short video clips of the bass that I can email to anyone who wants to see them - just PM me. In these I've been able to show the dinks and marks better than I could capture with the camera. Also, better picture of the dink inside the horn here:
6. I've got a 5 String Warwick Hot Rod, it's a great bass but I'd like to get a different sound (my sound) out of if I could. It's all maple and has a chambered body so it is very bright sounding. Ideally I'd like more bottom end from it. Is the easiest option to try it with a good set of flats?
7. Yes - it is a very nice bass. The modifications have taken an already great bass up to another level.
8. Agree with all of the above - GREAT basses but VERY wide necks. Admittedly I haven't got the biggest hands but the L2500 was unplayable for me due to the width of the neck.
9. My word....what has happened there??? If it is genuine that is a real bargain. Must be a very interesting back story to this - I cannot see how someone can have a bass of this calibre and not know it. Let us know how you get on fella.
10. It is the small one - folds up to fit inside a gig bag. It's slightly smaller than A4 size when folded up. I don't know if it would fit a ukelele though. Does that help or not?
11. Boring back story: - Possible job loss looming so need to rationalise the gear. It's a superb Jazz Bass. Unbelievable bang for your buck on all Farida's in my opinion. if you don't know much about Farida then have a look around on here and online, they are very highly regarded and rightly so. In superb condition, barely a mark or blemish to be found on it. Modifications are: A EMG BTC Control preamp, more details on link below: http://www.guitarand...ved=0CCgQ-RIwAg BB404 locking high-mass bridge, more detail on link below: http://www.amazon.co...R/dp/B008L1II9U Closed pickup covers. The pickups themselves are the original Farida Pups. Control layout also changed to add a 3-way pickup selector switch along with the knobs of Master Volume, Stacked bass/treble cut&boost. Selling for soldcash preferred due to current circumstances. I'm in Chorley, Lancs - any inspection more than welcome.
12. Boring back story: - Possible job loss looming so need to rationalise the toys. This being a USA Fender is hopefully the most saleable bass I've got. Good Points: - It's a Fender Precision 2001 Sunburst with Fender Moulded Case. Great playing and sounding bass, nice stripe on the freboard. Some of the best Fender basses date from around this time. Overall in very good condition. Bad Points: - A couple of dings, both pictured, one on the top side of the bass where your forearm would rest, another inside the inner top horn. There are a couple of hairline lacquer cracks in the back of the neck, I've tried to photograph these as best as I can but they are very difficult to photograph. Also a couple of minor marks on the top of the fretboard which again are very difficult to photograph. £599 for a cash sale - may trade (trade valuation would be increased) for something (Warwick / Fender Jazz?) that would mean I would then put one of my other Warwick's up for sale. By all means let me know what you've got, the worst I can do is politely decline. Selling for cash preferred due to current circumstances. I'm in Chorley, Lancs - any inspection more than welcome.
13.
Awesome gig last night, happy with the general sound, plenty of nice comments. The Schecters really kicked some ass, and soooo happy to have gone back to Ashdown.........trouser flapping power.
Looking good Russ, looking good.
14. Karl, Two things: 1 - They let you do solo's?? - and 40 seconds worth??? 2 - Stunning bass...
