Any "likers" will get the favour returned if they so wish. regards. Ben
3. Went to the gym this morn, took the mutt out in the snow this afto then set about advertising for a guitarist.... Had fun playing along with a few Duck Dunn bass lines. Went out for tea. Sounds easy but didn't earn a fat lot!
4. Moore lizzy, East Yorks based tribute to Gary Moore/ Thin Lizzy looking for experienced guitarist...... Gigs booked throughout the year, for info find us on facebook or visit the web, link provided below Thanks. Ben
5. A packed house for Moore Lizzy at The Sportsman in Hull, what a pleasure to perform! Slightly stressful soundcheck due to ringing guitar mics but managed to get that under control & the show went on without any issues...... Dep guitarist did a solid job. Drummer pulled out all the stops in Shalala & got a roof-raising cheer. I nearly chopped me fingers off when I jumped up on a bass bin & put my hand up in the air feeling the whisk of air from a ceiling fan!
6. Although it feels completely natural to me now, I can remember a time when I found it easier to play acoustic guitar & sing..... Just go for it & don't give up!!
7. Knock the c##t out then start singing & playing..........job sorted!
8. Apart from compression which is always on, I only use chorus or flanger...... :-)
9. Saw them as a youth in '83 & was blown away, Mr Lynott made a life long impression on me..........Rock in peace Philo
10.
I was hoping the same to be fair - was discussing with a few others going about who we felt should be there. Dead chuffed to see the Low Riders, not too keen (I am being very polite) on The Experience for a few reasons. Great musicians and all that.
Haha I'd be interested to hear about that if you wanna pm me confidentially....... seen & enjoyed footage of the low riders
11. Played a NYE duo gig at the largest Chinese restaurant in the UK, favoured haunt of Messrs Prescott & Blair..... despite a bit of confusion over stage times, had our fill of chinese food, did 1 set at 10pm, and was home by 11.30pm to see the new year in with almost a weeks wages in my back pocket. Not very rock & roll but there ya go
12. Hmm, I was really hoping for an invite to perform this year, but sadly despite hopefull signs, nothing materialised....... Ah well, maybe next year! Have a great time & please keep us posted as to how it went!
13. Yeah, I'm with the OP on this.......there's a sense of satisfaction & a little excitement in seeing things all laid out nicely with a little sexy lighting & some background music gently pulsing through the rig. I always try to take it in, before speaking to people, then heading backstage to chill for a while & get "in the zone"
14. BASS from day 1 for me........grew up listening to a mix of classic rock & soul too. Singing came next along the way also like to dabble with acoustic guitar now & then
15. They could get rid of Marco & Ricky, and get........me! Lol, in my dreams I saw em in Leeds last year for the first time since Thunder & Lightning. i know Marco is a virtuoso player, but from where I was, I could hardly hear him
16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrZTl2ztw8 Recent you tube clip of Moore Lizzy.... find us on facebook too Thanks. Ben sorry cant fathom how to put the screen shot in doh!
17. EVERYONE'S allowed to be late once in a blue moon, everyone's permitted to not have fully learned a part now & again, everyone is granted permission to miss a load in due to unforeseen circumstances........... HOWEVER, if it's the same thing too often, then a course of action must be taken! Starting with a friendly bollocking, progressing to a sacking as circumstances dictate

19. Whilst I'm no Mark King, I did have an album or 3 back in the day, I did see them live once & I've always marvelled at his ability.... Seems like a good man too
20.
Phil had got the banter with the fans down to a tee. Everytime I saw him it was like you were catching up with an old mate.
Great analogy!
21. Look no further than the late great Philip Parris Lynott!!
22. Damn thats a bargain for someone! They are great cabs, Ive had two 4x10's for last few years, super quality.......... If I wasnt having to fund P.A. gear I'd snap this up. Good Luck
